I agree, 'Argus' is a masterpiece, their best album. I have a Japanese pressing of that.

The Ash have released 26 studio albums, 21 live albums and 18 compilation albums. Their last studio album 'Coat Of Arms' came out in 2020, which I purchased a week ago. Andy Powell is the only original member left. There has also been 'Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash' touring but that is not the 'official' Wishbone Ash and didn't release any albums.

They had some misses over the years, they spent a fair while sucking up to the US market which lead to some average albums (avoid their sixth album 'Locked In', it's complete soft cock tripe) but overall, there's more good than bad.

Thanks ! Looks like I've got a bit of catching up to do, appreciate the advice.

Today on the way home from work (@ the Vintage Bazaar), Bob Marley  & the Wailers "Babylon By Bus" Oz 1st pressing 2 x LP. The cover is fairly bad but the records look NM, for $15 I wasn't going to say no.....plus it came with the original poster. Looking at the great song line up I thought it was a studio best of......no it's all live. Even better!🥰

I have 'Live! At The Lyceum' as well so this completes the live Marley/Wailers releases (released while Bob was still alive at least).

Just now on Discogs, V Spy V Spy "Xenophobia [Why?]" NM German 1st pressing (Record Service Alsdorf).

Would have loved an Oz pressing with the lacquer cut by DB but the only two NM ones were way too expensive.....this should  be fine.

Arrived and installed today. Denon DL301-mrk2. Very happy with this cartridge for the price.

Easy to setup, nice detail and sound stage, less surface noise, all in all a wonderful cartridge for a bargain price. Set up the Klyne phono stage at 100 ohms.

With a coil impedance of 33 ohms ... can I suggest you try a lot higher loading?  I would think the optimal loading will be between 330 ohm ... and 3300 ohm.  (When I had my Benz LP (also 33 ohms) ... I ran it at 3300 ohms.)

Cool!  Great album.  👍

Which f'wit courier left it on your doorstep?

(I've just had problems with "Team Global Express" - aka "Toll Priority".  they should've delivered the parcel last Tusday.  On their 4th attempt ... they actually did!)

Australia post - was home, not sure if he would have left there or carded it - but they don’t seem that keen on carding these days

Yello would sound wonderful on Vinyl. One of my favourite streaming albums. Can I please ask if it is well recorded and produced?

i have a number of their albums on both cd and/or vinyl. They have usually been well recorded and produced. But when I get to chance to sit down and listen to, I’ll give my thoughts.

Aah, sad.

I think the problem is that the courier companies pay peanuts ... so their people need to take the minimum time to deliver.

I like AusPost because if they can't deliver to me ... they take it round the corner, to my local PO.

Went to JB Hi-Fi with the intention of picking up a particular record but they didn't have it in stock.
Instead I found this new release (released last November) from one of my favourite local bands from the 90s. Didn't realise they were still going and their classic albums aren't in vinyl so I've kind of lost touch with them.

The album title comes from it being recorded in Bali.

The Fauves - Tropical Strength
