OK, I can't stop.🤫 I conceded maybe a year ago that I needed an intervention😬....but I have been wanting this set for a long time now and finally found a NM example at a great price.....it does usually go for silly money these days.

Via Discogs (local seller), Smashing Pumpkins "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness"🥰, NM 4 x LP 2023 reissue, Canadian pressing (GZ Media @ Precision Record Pressing, Toronto).

So it 'restores' grooves which have been ruined by a blunt conical stylus tracking a horrendous VTF and with the wrong anti-skate ... to virgin, undamaged grooves?

Amazing!

I’m not sure about that, I think is more like a cleaning product, similar to revirginiser. It works quite well removing funny stuff from old or second hand albums, the one in the picture is a UK Beatles Let It be, it has reduced the amount of noise, I’ll complement it with an ultrasonic cleaning.

This stuff and Revirginizer and even my choice, Craft Gum Glue probably do a better job than Ultrasonic cleaners!

Oops, maybe now I'm stirring!😉

I can see some residuals in the borders and expect the ultrasonic will get ride of it.

Fair enough.

The craft gum glue I use never leaves residuals! When I used to use Revirginizer, it didn't either.🤔

I have to say, I didn't like the look of the way that 'restore' product was peeling off the LP in your photo.....or that weird dried look😬....but as long as your records are clean.

Now you're talking!  👍

I suspect, though, that you could've achieved exactly the same end result ... by going straight to the us cleaning step.  👍

I have used Revirginizer for when an ultra sonic has not worked or my own VPI cleaning has not worked on a loop "scratch",

it is very very good - I have repaired a couple of LPs that had a "loop" in the track (where the stylus gets stuck on repeat mode) and if you massage the revirginizer in to that spot - it will often soften what is deep down there and when you peel it off the crud is pulled out and it plays perfectly.

I keep the Reviginizer solely for that sort of thing in my kit.

Yup, that’s exactly how I see it, it’s not for cleaning all your records but the ones that need special attention.

Yes, we are on the same page there - it is just a final "rescue me" to try if nothing else works. I tried the glue you can buy from Office Works but it does not seem to work as good for me as it is not "spongy" enough and dries too "flakey".  Revirginzer has a more mallable feel and which allows you to massage deep within the grooves and sometimes I will use it just in a trouble spot if the whole record is perfectly fine after a clean.  It is a great product to have in the kit. What you have I have not seen but looks similar. 😊

(I massage the Revirginizer in circles - you do not have to follow the grooves - but rub it in that way, due to the texture of it, it is perfectly safe).

I bought this kit as it helps with the application, very smart thing and also came with a drying rack, very handy 🙂

You're correct on the Officeworks glue Sue, it does dry a bit too 'brittle' and sometimes peels off less than perfect. It is certainly not as good as Revirginizer in this regard.

I also agree with your method of massaging it in, a firm circular motion to get it right in there.👍

I don't use the Officeworks brand glue anymore, I now use this one, which I can get locally....it is very similar to Revirginizer in it's 'malleable-ness', it peels off beautifully.....and a third of the price of RV but I use it a lot.....unlike you and Hlov, for me it is for ALL my records😆. I've glue cleaned 300+ LP's so far, at least 150 to go!

May ask where you can purchase ?

I get it at a local independent office supply store, not a chain or franchise type store so I'm not sure where to recommend, just look for that label I guess......in non franchise, independent stores.
