Corked, in the past doubt its been cellared well. In the theory should be ok now you reckon. Drink If in doubt....the cork and temperatures along the journey may be the killer, good luck and let us know.
Mendes Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 @audiohippo, thanks for prompting me,I found a few lying around Must track down some of the current vintage. This is a racey, peppery, spicy, smokey little number.....Mrs Mendes is really digging it. 3

mtf Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 My apologies @The Fez for not reading that properly, even more reason to pull the cork and find out though 1
mvqq Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 I'm currently drinking a Negroni, i love this drink. Discovered it last summer (what a shame...) 2
vinilink Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) @Chanh you may have tried it already Bin 28. Among all the Bin series, my favourite is 28 and cheaper than 389. Edited May 8, 2020 by vinilink

vinilink Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 My best Bin 28 was 1991 that shocked everyone during a blind tasting gathering. Many thought it was a Grange which cost me $11 back then. 1

But, will let you know if I ever heading that way. Have you been to La Vigna shop? 1

With my irrational buying habit, it's too risky if I do. OMG..., too many good stuffs there. My CFO will impose a lifetime ban from visiting any cellar/vineyards, should my action deems out of control. 1 1

I have not been there for a long time but the same owners also have Tamworld on Beaufort Street, Inglewood where the prices are lower. There was always a good selection of Cognacs and Armagnacs there. Cheers Roman C.D. - Mitolo, one of the Sergio Mendes's recommendations. 58 minutes ago, Chanh said: I like Bin28 too. Thanks Chan 1 2
vinilink Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Last time I was in Perth and MR was in early 2012 with my CFO and in 2003 while before I was taken. The other good liquor shop was Liquor Barons at Swanborne Cellars. 2

Erm...pass this on to your CFO: He's totally out of control now and you need to talk to DM's about a voluntary ban just like chronic gamblers can ask for from casino's. Something like; Dear DM's please not to allow me anywhere near the 'Vintage bargain stand' thank you. You wear that on a badge in a prominent position so they know..one carton's never enough 1 1

Jeebus its cold in Winter. Murrumbateman is the "town" Yass Valley Shire - got a pub and a few shops. When we can all travel again, I recommend everyone that enjoys cool climate stuff try and visit the area, some seriously good stuff around here...Enjoy.. Some info for those that might be interested in the founder of Clonakilla -- Courtesy Clonakilla.com.au Dr. John Kirk Founder Cambridge PhD, biochemist, physicist and life-long wine lover. A visionary pioneer of the modern Canberra District wine industry. A leading Australian scientist (that was his other job) who is a world authority on what light does in water and how it effects photosynthesis. Besides many other things, a maker of hand crafted musical instruments and the author of numerous books. John planted the first vines in the Canberra District in 1971. He has successfully disengaged himself from the day to day running of the business now but can still be seen out pruning and monitoring the progress of his beloved vineyard. 2
