AccuTidal Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Happy Thursday to all. The best day of the week, it’s one more date to the weekend and four days away to the next working week! Hooray…! So sorry to keep you suspended on my grape juice enjoyment… The aftermath of last weekend’s marathon have my soft tissue crying for a rest…! 12 1 1

NonPlayableCharacter Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Opened this at lunch time for tonight; had 12 rounds with the cork and won on TKO. Meant I had to decant and filter straight away rather than my usual of opening at midday and leaving to one side until a couple of hours prior to drinking. I stuck some glad wrap over the top and put it into one of the wine fridges to slow oxidation down. It tasted pretty strong for an '06, I am looking forward to my fillet steak tonight now. The colouration around the neck of the bottle is throw/crust, not the lighting... Happy weekend and good health all. 10 3 1
Monty Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 A local IPA to usher in the weekend. Cheers! 12
scuzzii Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Happy Friday, folks. An Italian start. Hope you have a smashing weekend. 11 2

I went to the '16 Run Rig launch dinner and took up the option of some '10 and '06 at the time. This is my last '06 and I've just pulled it out to open up a bit more before cooking the steaks. It is so fruit forward still for a 16 year old wine. Blackcurrant, a little kalamata tapenade, some liquorice and some very refined tannins. Finish going on and on and on. This is a belter. We've had an absolute **** of a week and the lovely Mrs Tel deserves this one. 1 1

Monty Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 The squeeze is home and we have moved on to a Reisling, probably our favourite variety over twenty years of drinking together. Spinning Janelle Monae and making pizza slabs to feed an incursion if teenagers. 9 2
2Brix Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 please add (or PM) picture of pizza when ready 1

I've known his sales lead, Mark Thomas for years; one of the warmest and funniest blokes in the industry for sure. Enjoy. 2

Ah yes one of my wife faves too, a bit towards the sweet end of the spectrum for me but perhaps I've already hammered my taste buds 1

Monty Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 4 minutes ago, 2Brix said: please add (or PM) picture of pizza when ready I usually make pizza in the round on the pizza stone, but when the order of the day is smashing out quantity with minimal effort I go 'pizza slab' on baking sheets. Each slab is equivalent to about three medium-large rounds. Everyone can dress their own section. 8 2
NonPlayableCharacter Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 The Run Rig is possibly a top 10 wine ever for me. It's that bloody good. 8 4

lemarquis Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Not bad as a stop gap before the weekend gets serious. Kind of a slightly less refined Jameson. 9
NonPlayableCharacter Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 A second bottle. Like I said, it's been a c&*t of a week and I'm going to drink it into submission. 5 4
