dafloro6601 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 If you like the Punch, worth trying the Hurley John, particularly if you can find one that has a few years. Would say the 2018 was at its peak… 2

wadiman Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Just got back from a Japan trip a few weeks ago. For the love of the Whiskey gods - if you're over there and like a tipple - do yourself a flavour and pick up a bottle or four of this. Retails here for A$80 - will cost you around A$25 in a convenience store over there! 4
surprisetech Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) I’ve been sticking with some well chilled Coopers Original Ale in the heat over this long weekend, but today I put this on some ice. Methinks it might be the appropriate red for a 32deg day out under the cypress trees! (Background is the east end of the Yarra Ranges) Edited March 10 by surprisetech 7

aechmea Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Katnook 2020 Cabernet Big strong wine. Pretty much full-on everything at the moment. Leave for a few years yet. 2
Luc Posted March 12 Posted March 12 In flood central we've begun to dry out. I won't bother you with the dinner just cooked( prawns chilli sourdough bread crumbs yadda yadda) Bought these wines after a great meal in Bleak City a few years back. The orange wine was an eye opener, Slovenian from the the Kras area. Grew up in Melbourne in the 60's when the first waves of Yugoslavian emigres arrived. This stuff and the mandatory Slivovitz skuled at the beginning of the meal as a salute and then( oh my aching head) during and after the meal and after and after and after... Lol. But yeah the coloured white wine from here is a gem. 3 1
