Still 28° here after a hot day so another cold white is called for. We love a crunchy Chenin and this Streicker is a cracker.

cheers mate.  Wife starting to get into Chenin blanc these days - Spinifex kicked that off for her.  Will grab some of this for her.

An in-house label by the now defunct Cellarmasters.  "Special" wines offered by their "tame" winemakers to selected customers.  Most were OK to good but I like this one best of all.

Top tier Mornington Pinot and drinking superbly with nine years on it. I must revisit the winery when next down in Melbs.

Absolutely Steve, some amazing wines being produced there.

This particular wine is a great drop, will be stashing the rest for a few more years, I’ve had some great experiences with their Shiraz as well.

Some local drops with steak tonight, these are quite worthy of consideration,. The Millbrook vineyard is  a relaxing weekend drive if you are in Perth.

Individual vineyard Hunter Semillon.

A bit light on for weight.  Better on night 2.

Found this the other day. Really good, smoky, lots of flavour and not too sweet. I keep meaning to try to see how it goes with cheese or food...but the glass sems to have a hole in it!!!

Repost: tasting at Tolpuddle winery yesterday. Rates up there with the best wine/food experiences we’ve had.

Tasting  23/18 Chardys and Pinots matched with extraordinary food from an ex-MONA chef. IMG_3559.thumb.jpeg.6786c1e5357963d2234a0d721af906ea.jpegIMG_3560.thumb.jpeg.e08af89038270a0f6853352a67a25696.jpegIMG_3562.thumb.jpeg.cf4e75bbabe969047fd07372256ade73.jpegIMG_3566.thumb.jpeg.f1d16a4b2bb76ddb2d99098eb55c8e5e.jpegIMG_3567.thumb.jpeg.46247ca85217b4f9f135cfaab40c7dd2.jpeg
