gasman1003 Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Arrived today: Jethro Tull - The Jethro Tull Christmas Album: Fresh Snow At Christmas Inside Out Music, Worldwide, 2024/2003, IOM727/19802818361 BO20278-01 A1 K2 BO20278-01 B1 K2 BO20278-02 C1 K2 BO20278-02 D1 K2 Reissue. Complete with Christmas card. I have owned the CD for a few years but had to get the LP on release , glad I did, lovely quality and what a fabulous album. We moan about our weather this time of year, 7 1/2 hours of daylight, cold and often wet with little sunshine. Indeed as I listened to this earlier today another storm is imminent. However, I think because of our climate come songs which have such resonance, "Weathercock" being a fine example. 7 1

stevoz Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Last night, post movie: Recent local purchase, Supertramp "Cannonball" 12" 45rpm single.....'direct to disc' version and 'instrumental' version.....post glue clean. Sounded dynamically superb. Locally purchased the day after the above, Pseudo Echo "Love An Adventure" 12" 45rpm single.....post glue clean.....again, super dynamic! This was mastered by Leon Zervos who has been chief mastering engineer at 301 Studios, Sydney since 2007 but started his career there in 1982, working in America in between, including Absolute Audio, Masterdisk (chief mastering engineer) and Sterling Sound (senior mastering engineer).....so another local mastering name to look out for.....and as expected, this 12" sounds truly excellent. New arrival, Fountains Of Wayne "Traffic And Weather" 2022 RSD L/E reissue, US pressing. Fun album, sounded really good. Arrived yesterday, King Stingray "For The Dreams", their latest album on L/E red vinyl, ?Oz pressing. Great album, SQ was definitely better than their first album. Recent arrival, Romeo Void "Instincts" Dutch 1st pressing. Really enjoy this album and so glad I discovered this band. Superb SQ on this. 5
