Ash76 Posted Sunday at 10:44 PM Posted Sunday at 10:44 PM I haven't been around the last few days as my son was down from Canberra and we celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary on the weekend. Back at work today Muddy Waters/The Rolling Stones - Checkerboard Lounge Live Chicago 1981 2012/2022 EU reissue 6 1
blakey72 Posted Sunday at 11:13 PM Posted Sunday at 11:13 PM (edited) A morning with Amy and Josh. They actually went to Japan (both born in Australia) to write this album. They went to where some relatives lived which was basically the 'outback' of Japan to have complete peace to write this. Now based on the Gold Coast. stevoz Posted Monday at 03:21 AM Posted Monday at 03:21 AM (edited) Last night: Recent local purchase, Bob Marley and the Wailers "Babylon By Bus" Oz 1st pressing, freshly glue cleaned. Great album, maybe not the 'feeling' of the fantastic 'Live At The Lyceum' live album but very good all the same and a bigger collection of great songs. So glad I got to see Bob live back in the late 70's and experienced that Rasta 'vibe'. New arrival, Utopia "Oblivion" NM German 1st pressing (Record Service GmbH). Fantastic album. Judie Tzuke "Welcome To The Cruise" UK 1st pressing. Lovely album. Edited Monday at 03:37 AM by stevoz 5 1

stevoz Posted yesterday at 04:28 AM Posted yesterday at 04:28 AM Last night: New arrival, Jerry Harrison:Casual Gods "Casual Gods" new and sealed US pressing, ordered awhile back but I since bought an Oz pressing locally and very cheap....but as impressed as I was with the local pressing, this may have beaten it. Sounded amazingly good....and a great album indeed. New arrival, Graham Parker "Another Grey Area" NM German 1st pressing (Teldec).....glue cleaned, this copy is as good as mint and sounded brilliant. A relisten to recent arrival, REM "Document" L/E US reissue (From The Capitol Vaults series), glue cleaned and sounding really fantastic. Love this album. .....and a relisten to another recent arrival, Joe Jackson "Mike's Murder" OST, US 1st pressing (RCA Records Pressing Plant, Indianapolis). I had lost a bit of respect for US pressings in recent years, favouring European and even certain local pressings but these three out of four US pressed albums played last night have restored my faith.....because this one is also incredible SQ wise. Truly amazing sound. 5
