Thanks for the info.

Did you compare the reissue to other pressings?  I've been quite disappointed with a few reissues lately.

Hi Pete
I'm quite new to vinyl and I wasn't sure if I had made the right decision until I bought So I was just blown away by the SQ in this album I just sat there jaw open I then played my CD,DVD version to compare SQ and this vinyl had So much more detail
And to answer your other question about reissues
I bought a reissue of Iron Maiden Number of the beast and its crap [emoji90] I mean really really crap I had to turn up the volume to a level I've never gone before just to get some life out of this [emoji90]
I've also bought of other reissues like Pink Floyd and Phill Collins and I'm very happy with these purchases
The Phill Collins reissue albums Hello I must be going and Face Value are very good I also own these albums on CD and high res downloads and I can't decide which I like better [emoji848]
Hope this answers your questions

What's your most valuable/expensive album in your collection

Most records I have had from when I started buying them in the 70s

I actually don't know what they are worth now

However I am always on the lookout for the odd albums to complete an artist set, or to replace albums lent out and never returned

In saying that I just scored a classic 1st album by Larry Fast AKA Synergy and the go to synthesiser guru for many artists including Peter Gabriel

Title -  Electronic Realizations For Rock Orchestra

But I suppose the sealed AU Beatles Box set would be the one that is several hundred

I've played my last hand in this game
The rest of my genesis is in CD and DVD form but I will watch from the sidelines and cheer on [emoji122]

One thing for it Paul

Buy more records

I have just purchased 4 amazing records plus one on the back burner to fill in missing title holes in the collection

They are

Genesis - A Trick of the Tail

Albert Lee - Speechless

Martin Plaza - Plaza Suite - your homework is to find out more about this artist

Synergy - Electronic Realizations For Rock Opera - by Larry Fast the synthesiser guru

All rated as mint or near mint

What I know about Martin Plaza you could print on the back of a postage stamp
But my girlfriend now that's a different story she loves her Aussie pop bands especially the pub bands like mental as anything if I pop on the nips are getting bigger or to many times she's up bobbing around the house or singing along like it's karaoke night
But alas

Stepping back a little for pure tone sounds

This man is a famous comedy actor but also has a great voice

I have 2 of the same record released by different record companies

Artist - Jim Nabors

Title - By Request

The other famous comedy actor with a great voice is an Englisman by the name of Michael Crawford - but I digress

@bob_m_54 I see that you hail from Port Stevens :thumb:

Often visited the area to water sky on Myal Lakes and also visited Seals Rocks further north in my Neil Young phase days

@bob_m_54 I should also add that I lost my wedding band at Myal Lakes while  making mud castles

So if you go prospecting with a metal detector you may find it :P

hahaha, unfortunately I recently sold my genuine USMC issue, Vietnam War era mine detector (also used by the Australian Army). When the kids were young, we did take it "prospecting" on Zenith near Nelson Bay. Found a few bob with it too... But no wedding rings.

@Full Range U.K. Is new to me, had a listen this afternoon and really enjoyed it, great musicians and songs, SQ was excellent also considering it was released in the late 70's.

That makes me very happy

Music transcends time

The beginings of rock music was a progressive step forward from country music

What made rock different is the drum beat

Have a listen to Albert Lee - this fellow is an Englishman that now lives in Melbourne and is known world wide for his finger picking style that most modern guitarists can't keep up with

You will also be surprised what bands / artists  he has played with but that's for you to research
