Phil1624705739 Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Using Def Tech's Cinema PRO 80. btw lizarazu2000, i also have a door on my right of the screen. I stall a stopper on the door, you can find it on those DIY shops or shops selling door lock Screen still haven't reach our shore yet. It depends on how deep is e floor stander.. For me case.. I had to install a floor stopper to prevent e door from crushing my surround speaker. Those type that u see in e office mounted on e floor More shots... Phil

I stall a stopper on the door, you can find it on those DIY shops or shops selling door lock veri difficult leh...anyway its ok lah...me have a plan...will stick with satelites for HT....while i will get the floorstanders and in-coming Hi-FI equipments and place them in the living room. ;D..hope to see more pics.
JT Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 me DIY them all...hehe get clear aryclic sheets.. then download the logos...get them printed on kodak paper...then spray the borders with black...use 3M doubls sided velcro to mount them on the wall. ;D i do have a number of them....can send to you if you want. How much u can pass them to me? Im interested in DTS-ES and DD-EX logos. Thanks a lot man.
joamonte Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 nice.. look at you equirment, you must be a audiophile too right? just curious,do you think HT system affect the SQ of your 2 ch system.. also I think if you able to shift you centre spk behind the rack, the whole setup will look even better, you just need to shift the screen forwards abit... nice too...but your problem are same with me,the hifi rack at the centre and the DVD inside the rack make the front look not so chio and a bit untidy (my wife comment.. ;D )..maybe you would like to shift it to the side. If you really want some better spk I can suggest those wall mount spk from B&W and Maggie.... :)

Hi Joamonte yes i started out with hi-fi first. the centre speaker is a compromise. My room is not that large so a bit hard to do as you suggested. somewhere down the road, i hope to get a Proac Tablette for better Timbre matching (I will put the Tablettes in my bedroom system and carry one out for home theatre when needed) As for 2 channel/HT integration. theres no problem because pre-amp has a HT bypass switch. If i am listening to serious hi-fi, i move the centre speaker away and put the echobusters when the centre speaker was for even better imaging. the most important aspect of my setup i feel are the room treatments + Digital EQ as this room has a few serious room modes. If i see any bassbusters on sale 2nd hand, i will definitely grab somemore and stack them. (i have 3 so far)
muscular27 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 Joamonte, When can you come to my place and take a few photos and paste them here? I'm not good with camera and I have since added a few stuff since your last visit.

newthis Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 wah phil...your setup nice leh....how come yr screen not up yet huh?? too bad my room not suitable for floorstands...cos of the stupid door.....anyone can give me idea how to improve my HT? that darn door on the right....when it swings open confirm slam onto the floorstands... :( Have you tried changing it to a sliding door? May have to spend alittle on the reno but at least you get to enjoy what you like to the fullest instead of compromising just because of that door....
joamonte Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 nice too...but your problem are same with me,the hifi rack at the centre and the DVD inside the rack make the front look not so chio and a bit untidy (my wife comment.. ;D )..maybe you would like to shift it to the side. lizarazu2000 Posted August 12, 2004 Author Posted August 12, 2004 this is the two very good sound wall mount spk I have heard, for those who are interested.. B&W chick here magnepaner.. :) no $$$$...so xxx...anyway for watching DVDs i dun need such good speakers...the def tech cinema pro shld be sufficent for my bedroom. I have intended to purchase the floorstands and place them in the living room. more space. main purpose why i use satelites to save space. now the room spacious...everyone commented that my place i shld not put too huge speakers...or else the place will look crampy in the bedroom. ;D
sky1624705740 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 A bit OT, but could I know how do you wall mount bookshelf speakers on the wall? So far, I only know Queenie sells the brackets but it seems like they need to be screwed into the speakers. I don't like the idea of have new holes in my speakers. I am currently using Vienna Acoustics Haydn speakers (2 pairs) which I intend to wall mount them. Any suggestions? Thanks.
synthesis1624705793 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 Many brackets do not require screwing the speaker; like this. http://tinypic.com/207pe It's available in many places in SLS/SLT
lizarazu2000 Posted August 12, 2004 Author Posted August 12, 2004 Here mine simple setup.. ;D can see leh.all red X
