Changed the system orientation and moved components around, a bit more to do with a new incoming item shortly.

Now to get rid of all those pesky records :emot-bang: 🤑

Hope you don't regret it. No TT. How long will you last.

Well if I sell my records relatively soon then I should be ok.

I was a late convert to Vinyl, I see the attraction and I had it sounding wonderful but in the end not for me.

I definitely see the attraction though.... ✌️

Easier/ safer to stream when one has a red wine or scotch on tow Mark 🥳🍷🥃

They are really good sound absorbers if you have a lively room and have lovely big pictures...not much good for anything else. [humour][/humour]

My system today.

Dual 1228 turntable, 1972

Shure M55EM cartridge, 1967-74

Rotel RA-412 Amplifier, 1976

BluDento Bluetooth Receiver, 2024

Goodmans Magnum SL speakers, 1970.

A good budget vintage system for under $850.

I bet those ultra dense speaker stands cost a bomb though.

Seriously, I'd also bet you enjoy your music as much as any participant in this thread through your lovely old system.

Yeah , the listening area ( carpeted) is only 4m w x 4m d . The angled cabinets of the Martens make it look worse than it is.

May I enquire as to where you sourced those record boxes?

Cheers

Hi Phil ,

I bought them off a guy who was making them in his garage here in Perth - alas he doesn’t seem to be any more , as I wouldn’t mind a couple more myself.

View from the listening station, sounding fantastic. Fully refurbished kenwood kd650/accuphase 303 by @coffeemachinist, results are immersive.

Started off with a trio some months back, now have a smattering.
I have not come across an isolation product better than these and I’ve tried a good few.
The jump in realism is simply captivating. Can’t wait to spread it out among the constituents.

Nice haul Travis. I'm just curious, what was your logic for choosing the round or square EVP's? As i'd assume they both perform equally well.

Current system. Just took possession of a Sansui amplifier AU-2900. Its been fully restored by a guy in Brisbane by the name of Colin Pyle, and it sounds great. The main turntable is a Dual 1228 running a Shure M55EM cartridge. The turntable to the left is an AMI Jorgen T-500P running an Audio-Technica AT3600L. Speakers are English made Goodmans Magnum SL's and Bluetooth receiver is by BluDento and runs a Burr-Brown DAC chipset.

The round ones pictured have felt tops and bottoms. The square ones have rubber tops and bottoms.

More specific to the gear I have. No real reason other than that.

AV Room Service EVP's.

Thanks- yes, I found them eventually.

$119 a pop at least- that's a lot of isolation!

Jays Audio CD2 Mk3

Audio Synergy EDAC (Toob)

Gustard R26 Streamer/ DAC

Sugden Masterclass LA4

🙏

The rationalization / simplification is now complete (at least for a while 🤗)

Jays Audio CD2 Mk3

Audio Synergy EDAC (Toob)

Lumin U2

Sugden Masterclass LA4

First Watt F8

AT 23 speaker cable

DeVore Fidelity O96 Orangutans 🦍

The EDAC is the main DAC for both the Jays CDT and the Lumin U2 via Stealth Sextet digital cable.

Sweet ✌️
