"Connie's music room"

In memory of my mum who recently passed, I've decided to name my music room after my mum, may it sing in her memory RIP.🙏

Have a Merry Christmas everyone, & a Happy & safe New year, may 2025 bring all that you want & then some.

Under the Bel Canto CDP you may just see a pair of Redback crossover with Marantz 6-channel amp below for the WAR's.

I listened to the 3.2's at Harry's place when picking up my TT a few years back.  The yellow demo set.  Simply the best speaker's I've heard.  Amazing.

my system as it stands (can't see myself changing too much outside of cartridges or moving on the Luxman Phono).

Relaxin’ with Gerry Mulligan and Ben Webster via Roon on a drizzly lazy Sunday arvo in the tropics, maybe Relaxin’ with Miles next.

I finally welcome back my amp which decided not to turn on. After 30 days with the service mob they decided to look at it and rectified it with a "factory reset". In one respect I'm grateful it could be fixed, obviously, and it was cheap. But the turn around time is a piss take.

It did choose an inopportune time to go down as I had just received the "super platter".. for my SRM turntable and made a couple of changes including putting the turntable back in the centre of the equipment, due to new longer cables. I'm not sure if the $1000 plastic platter made a significant improvement or the cleaning and re lubrication of the bearing helped or the minor sound treatment but it sounds glorious. I spent 5 hours last Friday, and two bottles of wine, basking in the pleasure. Adjusting the sub has revealed amazing bass I never knew I was missing.

One of the reasons I don't obsess with finding new music, and there is plenty out there, is because times like this, when upgrades result in noticeable improvements, my old music is new again.

I'm in full agreeance. I had the pleasure of picking up my cart and listening to these and was blown away. Staging was enormous, we played various music and they reproduced it all in a way I've never heard before

I just became a Dealer for EMM Labs and will be getting in the new DV2i which is an all-in-one DA/Preamp/Streamer.

It will be replacing my DV2 which has been a revelation in resolution and imaging in my system!

Can't wait to see if the internal streamer will surpass the audio quality I get from my Taiko Audio Extreme music server....

I’m currently back down in Melbourne with my daughters over Christmas and New Year, but there’s no shortage of music. No vinyl rig, but it is a great sounding system regardless, with the Bluesound streamer providing the source for the tunes.

Cheers,

Keith

Following some good advice after I posted a picture of my system, I purchased some longer cables and can now move my speakers away from the corners and closer to my lounge when I want to have a proper listening session. And it has made a pretty noticeable improvement as suggested. Cheers folks.
