HI Guys N Girls,

I have a couple of stupid questions, which I may answer my self in this dribble.

We're using a Projector (native 4:3 800x600) and the DH-2000A (dgtec), and when connection using the Y,Pb,Pr cable

It’s a GREAT image 1080i (hd1) and very clear.

But when I connected the RGB (svga) cable I cant get the correct image, now It may be due to the resolution of the projector not being able to display the 1080i or 576p but I'm 100% sure this is the case. :P

Does anyone else use the RGB cable on their 2000A STB with a 800x600 Projector

And last of all why does it display the 576p in the 2000A manual then mention under that , that it doesn’t support it anyway?

Cheers

Is there a setting in the projector? I know with some Tv's you have to select the input type

I dont bother changing the output, I leave it on 1080i HD1, I couldnt tell the diff between the 2.

the only thing i can think of is the Projector cannot display 1080i (1080x 1920) or 1152i (1080(+72) x 1920) while using the RGB cable, which i could understand.

But the Y Pb Pr in all formats...works fine and or dandy.... it may-be compressed in some way????

i would just like to know if anyone is using the RGB cable with a projector and the STB

It's not just what the pj can display (we know that is 800x600), but what resolution it can input AND from which inputs.

The pj needs to be capable of taking a 1080i signal via RGB, you need to check the specs to see if it can or not.

No worry, just use the YPbPr inputs from the STB - admitedly, the pq downscaling 1080i to 800x600 will not be that great but at least you have a picture.
