Just watched State Of Origin tonight and the quality of the SC pictures are shocking its no better than a web camera and when they switch back to normal cameras the difference is very noticable ok I understand they cannot put a super camera on that cable but the colors are washed out and the contrast is way out maybe its good enough for NTSC but PAL Digital show its faults

Anyhow it was the best game I ever saw for a long time the pace was very fast up to the end lets hope the final game is played at the same standard :P

I wonder what the rules are if a ball hits the Sky-cam and gives an unfair advantage to the other team?!?!

LOL Digicruiser it may even catch the ball and keep it for itself  ha ha my wife thought SC was someone running on the field when it got in the way of the cameras higher up if they get the quality up it should be great

The rules for the AFL use of Skycam are the same as those involving other obstacles (like the roof of Telstra Dome, for example). The umpire would stop play and bounce the ball.

Unless a player deliberately tried to knock it out of the sky, in which case a free kick would be played against them.

Here comes the personal bets between players - see who can hit the moving sky-cam for $2000 during game. Hehe just in time when things seem useless, hit the SC for the money and get a bounce...

Then we need another camera to see if SC was hit successfully... what ya reckon, would it carry on?
