muzzagruzz Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 My niece picked this up recently - it's so cute! 2
medicine_shoes Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 My niece picked this up recently - it's so cute! What model Dual is that? It looks wicked!
muzzagruzz Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Unfortunately, I don't know what model it is? It's powered by a valve amp. So damned cute. My niece isn't sure what to do with it - to restore and sell or just sell as is? Might post in another forum to gather ideas.
illusion Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 My modded Rega TT, with Anne Bisson's Blue Mind ready to spin. 3
Hergest Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Arm and pod addition update: Lovely. A DV 505 (?) a Wand and what's the other arm?
Citroen Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Correct. Other is an SME3012R, which I'll use with a Denon DL-102 mono cart I've just ordered.

Newman Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Arm and pod addition update: Trigamist! Which one is true love?
Citroen Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 They are my children. I love them all equally (but like the Dyn the most) 1
Citroen Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Some of my other "children": I think one might be gay. Another excels at sports, especially golf (and fishing) The other is just very idle. BUT of course, I love them all the same! "wink, wink" Edited June 4, 2014 by Citroen 9
ilikecrumpets Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 It's a bit of a **** post I know but I'm proud of my baby, I've just received the thick (16mm) aluminium slab baseplate and attached it - it fits like a glove. The Lenco is finally finished The only possible additions could be a metal logo, and a custom made dust cover. Suffice to say it sounds quite tremendous, and at least on a par with some pretty serious plattenspielers I have heard (yes Avid Volvere, Linn LP12, Clearaudio etc I'm looking at you). That's my personal view, of course. 11
Citroen Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 So you're back from Shore leave? Yes, you need to add your Vofo logo and a nice bit of plastic from Cambria to that serious bit of plinth. PS. You have great taste in arms 1
awty Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Very Nice Gazza. Wish I had the patients and skills to do such a fine job. I like the low profile deck, not a fan of stacked platters. What mat are you using? I have a 6mm/3kg stainless steel mat on my Lenco, works well. Yours with the creators looks very cool. 2
blinky Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Agree, dismissing the stacked platters is good, that solution always looks really amateurish to me. Yours is a beauty well done. 1

You have great taste in arms Yep Citroen, back from my floating Butlins holiday camp oil rig - but going back tomorrow :-( I'll get Cambrian to make a dustcover, and I do have a couple of Vofo badges left from my speaker build I could use: a bit big though I reckon... And the arms are both Jaffa's, James' Siggwan is a stunner & the Wand isn't far off it in terms of performance. And Awty, the platter mat is made by Oxaide, a nice 5mm slab of spun alloy. I guess my main inspiration for the Lenco in terms of looks was the Artisan Fidelity Technics SP10, I just loved the low profile on that platter. Mmmmm!
NeilNZ Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 That looks great Pearce. Very cool with that baseplate. 1

TD19 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Yet another 301 ... on kauri plinth, sized for as-yet undecided 12" tonearm. Thinking possibly Ortofon ... suggestions? I have already used NZ-designed/made Wand and Siggwan arms with other Garrards. ... sitting on roller-ball feet: 6
cheekyboy Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Golden Age Audio's Univector 12" would be an excellent fit. Cheers, Keith
