Golden Age Audio's Univector 12" would be an excellent fit. :thumb:

Cheers,

Keith

Many thanks for that suggestion, Keith. Have just visited the website ... some definite possibilities there!

WOW

I am almost blinded by the bling!

Does your friend wear a lot of gold chains?   :P

Table seems to be sitting in the middle of the room, illusion?

My freind just sent me some pic's of his new table. Still a bit of work to do but wow.

Would not have even pegged that for a turntable.

Looks like a bad prop from a Schwarzenegger sci-fi movie.

There's a turntable in there, right?

Ken,  the turntable looks nervous, surrounded by all those CD's  :P

Did the Dyna arm require the suspension springs to change at all?

What is the 'Eleven' below your LP12, Ken?  A phono stage?

I had a DV505 on my LP12 for 20-odd years.  Lovely arm ... but from the tests Duc has done (yes, I know he's biased! ;) ) and my own experience with his arm, I suggest a 9.5" Univector will be an upgrade.

Also, for several years, I had my LP12 sitting on an isolation platform comparable to yours - 'xept mine was a slate slab sitting on squash balls.  Sure this isolated the plinth from the benchtop it was resting on (I could hit the benchtop with a hammer while a record was playing and no "thunk" came from the speakers) ... but in some tests I subsequently did with a mate who has an LP12 - so knows its sound well - the sound was improved by removing the isolation platform and putting the LP12 on a wall-shelf (using the normal LP12 feet).

Regards,

Andy

Ken is being Modest-ha!-- I  used the DV507 /LP12 Combo--must say mine didn't last for 20 years!

It is indeed a fine combo--in spite of the Arm/weight/Spring configuration--the "balancing act" required was not for the faint hearted.

Your right , hope it gets moved sure it will weight about 850 lbs all up so he'd better do it before it's all together.

Love that album. My newly ordered vinyl copy is currently somewhere between UK and AU. :)

I reckon it's an absolute marvel - an engineering work of art!

If the Art of Engineering had ever had a Gothic Surrealist Movement, then yes.

Some might consider that poor form @@Number 9, given you're also a turntable manufacturer (and your commercial interests are not declared in your signature, as per the Website Guidelines). :)

Has anyone ever seen Number 9's turntable?

What differentiates this besides the thicker plinth from any other Rega?

Probably best for another thread.

Doesn't bother it at all. The CD's on the other hand live in constant fear. 33rpm oh, the horror. :D

It did but it's not as big a deal as some make out.
