Fidelity Sounds Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Victor 101 Direct Drive Turntable NAKE & Ikeda 407 Tone arm 2
awty Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 How is the Victor supported? Im mean I can see it has legs, but how are they attached. Very nice BTW, like the minimalist look of it.
Owen Y Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 These sketetal DDs are indeed a great minimalist style. With DDs the main issue is huge rotational mtr & servo torque, so I would be thinking in terms of rotational rigidity/stability - ie. ensuring that the mtr base is anchored solidly. Batty Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) This TT owes me the price of the headshell, all the rest was donated by kind SNA members, thanks Alex and Gary, the Cart is off a Rega Planar 3 from 1978 that I'm babysitting for a non member. Phono is a home built 2 box Bugle, sounds not too bad at all. I may just rebadge it with the SNA logo. Edited October 11, 2014 by Batty 7

Hergest Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 What's the go with the brush? It doesn't appear to be on the record as it spins like a Dust Bug so why have the windmill contraption? Curious minds and all that. The turntable looks the go. 1
Omegaspeedy Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Enjoying my good old L75 with new arm development. Waiting on the EMT JSD-6 to get here but still very good with the stock 103. 8
awty Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 That's a whole lot of tonearm there. I like the clean Lenco deck, want do similar with mine some day......once I get my electronical speed control up and running so I can remove the mechanical one. I suppose then I should make prevision for a 12" arm....does it ever end. 1

Curious minds and all that. The turntable looks the go. SFC SK-Filter anti-static contraption Not sure if it works or not SFC - Pioneer of static electricity control. SK-FILTER is remarkable product, set up to the side of the record player to discharge and remove static electricity from the record into the air while playing music. SK-FILTER uses the patented material “Thunderon[emoji768]†which has the ability to discharge static electricity into the air when static charged material approaches. To develop the new material for SK-FILTER the “Thunderon[emoji768]â€material was made into a thread-like material then knitted as not come apart. It looks like a whisk, but it is not necessary to physically brush the record surface. It performs with the SK-FILTER s few millimeters away from the record surface. It is also designed to match with a range of analog players with its height and distance from the platter adjustment. "Silent†is the only word to describe the performance of SK-FILTER. It liberates the record from static electricity so the noise floor is dramatically reduced. Enjoy the sound with incredible resolution. If you are having problems with static then the SK-FILTER continuously removes the static for you. Thunderon is a Patented organic conductivity fibre. Hi Citroen,If your a Facebook member, check out my page but I don't want to bust any rules here. Yes big departure but for a genuine reason being that Cocobolo tone wood being put on the restricted lumber list so I needed something as good as Cocobolo. I'm not 100% sure my arm is at RMAF.
