danielalvers Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 I made a recording of the Olympics opening ceremony, edited it down and copied it to DVD. Then, since I have been recording so much of the games I removed the source MPG from disk. Unfortunately I didn't play my backup copy until tonight and realised that the actual DVD is faulty. The first .VOB file is corrupt and I just can't seem to get a clean copy. Would anyone who has made a copy mind sharing it. It is only for my personal use. If you PM me I would be happy to send blank media and a prepaid envelope. Anyones help would be really appreciated.
gusangora Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Have you tried isobuster for data recovery? Link: http://www.smart-projects.net/ I also lost my opening ceremony recording. Initially recorded the SD version overnight. Realised it was only 4:3 and with inferior sound track, and DigiTV had missed the last half hour. Deleted it and set to record the replay of the HD version - Channel 7 decided to temporarily take their HD off air (for two weeks) and not do a HD replay! Doh! I got nuthin'.
