planetaudio.com.au Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Hey guys... Just curious if anyone has any experience with audio/video/remote wireless sending products? Simply want to stream Optus Cable into another room and have the ability to use the remote control etc still. If anyone knows this Jaycar product or can suggest something not overly expensive it would be appreciated. Cheers
Digicruiser Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Any of those units are great. If away from the Entertainment area, I can stream Digital to another TV just about anywhere without any trouble. The remote feature is very important as I can control just about everything remotely, VCR STB, Amp, CD etc. I think Jaycar have two or three versions of these. Just check the power level output, higher the better obviously so walls etc don't interfere with the signal too much. How you connect will obviously determine how flexible and nifty your setup can be. you could be shaving or having a soaker of a bath and all you need is the remote pickup visible to your remote and control music or the stb etc - luxury. Also great if you sense a car driving up the driveway, just point and click with your universal remote and Macro to quickly shut off the amp and stuff so "nobody is home" if you know what I mean. I think those can be expanded so you could have one in the bedroom, one in the spare room, one in the loo (what??? got a plasma on the back of the loo door?) and control your stuff that way while having those TV's connected for Digital expansion.
planetaudio.com.au Posted January 4, 2005 Author Posted January 4, 2005 Sounds great... thanks for the response. /me checks what time Jaycar opens in the morning
planetaudio.com.au Posted May 19, 2005 Author Posted May 19, 2005 Just a note to others for future reference.. after my experience as a result of this thread, stay away from the cheap Jaycar ones. Best off investing in a higher quality one IMHO.
Ted1503559509 Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 have you tried the more expensive older AR1815 unit? Just a note to others for future reference.. after my experience as a result of this thread, stay away from the cheap Jaycar ones. Best off investing in a higher quality one IMHO. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
