I think the whole promotion puts widescreen and digital back 10 years. It is clear from this promotion that old old 4:3 anal log TVs are what 7 wants, contry to the current Govt policy.

I would say a lot more but the cycleway runs past John's house...

If this is to do with the Tennis Extra channel. I thought it was good, with the exception that the stats rolled over too fast to assimilate in in tiny brain

OK, I thought you were referring to the top level of the 7 site... which is crap!

The digital bit is, well ....... frankly, my dear, I dont give a damn! If its pose-only (read: flash movie - plugin required) I wont view it! No exceptions ... I've rarely seen a decent site using flash - its just marketing & web design guys being given too much money! :P Poseur form over function!

High Definition (HD) Television

Everybody wants to know the difference between Standard Definition (SD Digital) and High Definition (HD Digital) television. SD broadcasts provide widescreen pictures with DVD equivalent picture quality. HD broadcasts also provide widescreen pictures, but may have almost 3 times the horizontal, and up to twice the vertical resolution of SD or DVD pictures. The result can be amazingly real and lifelike images, but you’ll need an HD capable monitor/television with a HD digital receiver to show the improved picture quality.

To see HD in action, we’ve produced a demonstration program broadcast on digital channel 70 using our Great Outdoors personalities in some of the exciting locations they travel to each week. This program is replayed continuously during the day (unless an HD program is scheduled). We also produce over 1040 hours of HD content each year, and with the many overseas programs being broadcast each week, there is plenty of content to choose from.

ofcourse this is the best part of the website - had a good laugh after reading. So this is HD on ch7?

So what's new here? Sure some of the text has been updated so it says things like "was in 2003" instead of "will be in 2003", but this is still the same site graphics etc. that has been up for 2 years or more.

Best of luck,

Dik

I think Tim and the lady would be married by now - just hope they have wide-screen baby TVs - that would be a hard one to push out - "push push - it's coming out sideways! AArrrggghhhh!"
