Tweet Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 As I recall in response to a reporter ......." You don't want to know about that !!! " C.M
laurie Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 LOL when working in Mt Isa in the early 70's the railway union went on strike and wanted a share in the profits so after a week of striking Sir Joh agreed to the demand so he sent the union a bill for $50million when asked by the union what's this for he said"If you want to share in the profits then you must also share the losses! they went back to work the next day and when asked by a reporter why he did that he said "You must be from down south" cheers laurie
gusangora Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Let's not forget the time he decided to run for Prime Minister - when there was not a Federal election on. The they called the Federal election and where was Joh? Disneyland!
mtv Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 I... I... I... Now don't you go.. I.. you....... What was the question again, Jana?
Santa1503559644 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Joh, do you know what "the separation of the powers" is? Er, um, you know well for a fact, that, powers, er, electricity, powers this wonderful state of Queensland, so its people like you who should be happy we have sunshine, dont you worry about that! You didn't answer the question - do you know what "the separation of the powers" is? Very much a centre of power. Taking you to our coal mines, I would you now. Dont you worry about powers, young man, we've got the powers alright. You didn't answer the question - do you understand the meaning of the Westminster System? Dont you worry about that, young man! The system is there alright. We've got big systems in Queensland, all there under the blue skies. Major highways. Our farmers are growing fine crops, dont you worry about that. ...and would you believe, Flo had the hide to pontificate about how a republic would ruin the current Westminster system when she was lording it over the constitutional convention...
G M Fude Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Didn't he also say during the Fitzgerald Commission, when asked what was the Doctrine of the Separation of Powers, "Well you- you- you- tell me, and I'll let you know if you're correct." At the peak of the gerrymander, Joh's government was elected to power with 28% of the State vote. Yikes.
