Right click on My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager -> Open the disk drives section.

It may say that it is a SCSI drive (my Maxtor 160GB SATA hard drives says it is). If not, take note of the model numbers in the list and do a search for them on Google.

SATA drives are also very easy to physically tell apart from ATA, as they use a small 4 wire cable as opposed to the ATA 40/80 wire cable & connector.
