Hi guys,

I'm settling into a new home so since the 6m one is not enough, now I need 8 - 10m HDMI cable to my PJ.

Anyways can tell me where I can get one, good qualty <$200?

Hi Guys,

I am not a Troll.....

Having got that out of the way :P, Are Jaycar (ConCord brand) cables generally considered OK ?

The reason for asking is that I have just made a "shopping list" and I need a total of 12 various cables.

The Jaycar ConCord ones look OK in the packets, and I have seen Jaycar cables mentioned here.

The ones I need will come close to $300 for this range.

I really don't want to pay nearly that amount of money for each of the cables  !!!

Accepting I may or may not get better SQ and / or PQ with Monster or similar cables, are these Jaycar ones probably going to do an acceptable job?

Many thanks,

Austen.

Disclamer...Please, If you are a Monster-Owner, don't say I'd get better results with a piece of string soaked in salt-water, and if you are one of the Monster-haters, this question wasn't put in so you could go and upset all the Monster-cable owners !!!!!

The Jaycar concorde cables are a great cable that I cannot fault. I use them in my whole system and have excellent results.

The jaycar concorde are OK. theres better cables out there with better sheilding. The concords for instance are not very well sheilded against AC hum. And when I used them for hook up behind my system within the birdsnest back there they hummed pretty bad. I ended up replacing with jaycar response which at $60 a throw for audio cable are much better as get zero hum with them(theyre a twisted pair design star shielded with a drain wire running as a sheild) - they are a very bulky cable and ended up replacing with the kordz vector VI instead just from a practicality point of view.

bringing this thread back on topic. do a search on the hdmi cables as there is a bit of a difference in the quality between them with some resulting in sparkles and others not. From memory the higher end lindy's are a much better bet than the lower end ones.
