To hit the stores on 5th December (with slight variation to this date depending on country), the discs have been filled with some interesting additional material". Just in time for the fat man in the red suit. Paul brain damage

Spearmint Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I wonder if the likes of JB will sell them earlier than the release date to maximise sales. Does anyone know if it will be released in both PAL & NTSC? I am concerned if they don’t re-master the audio for both formats.

Stereo let's hope it's 16:9 cheers laurie <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry laurie, I just posted this in HT ..... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like theyve moved the goalposts again...new release date 16th January 2006....even the Sanity link has changed. Umm dont know how to break this one but Brain Damage website have confirmed that it is 4:3 AR and not 16:9 http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/ Click "news" on the left then scroll about 15 down "PULSE is a recording from the band's run of 14 shows at London's Earl's Court, the final full concerts performed (to date). A lot of work has been done to improve the sound and picture quality, and to source a selection of suitable extras. One of the common questions we've had is over the screen format. It is being presented in 4:3 format... attempts were made to create a good widescreen picture, but as it was originally shot in 4:3, this proved difficult. Decisions were then made to revert to 4:3 (standard television shape). " Also Sanity do not mention DTS nor do Brain Damage just DD 5.1 I think that might explain the $A28 price. http://www.sanity.com.au/product.asp?intPr...ntArtistID=4947 Very disappointed....but will still enjoy When you consider this is almost "archival" being from 1987 ( unbelievable yes it was almost 20 years ago they played at the Sydney Ent Centre ) I spose its understandable....but they could have done a bit better with the sound engineering and presented it in DTS. Might have to dust off the ole 68cm Sony for this one
