leaving for work in 10.................good night to you all

I do nightshifts too, but fortunately not to many.

Still, when one comes along, it's very much "Oh the pain! the pain!"

As one of those unfortunate people who gets to work night shift regularly I do check out whats happening on the forum during the wee hours.

What surprises me is the members who are awake at ungodly hours and posting on the forum.

So whats the story folks..... insomniac, working nightshift like me; addicted to the forum, forgot to turn the pc off, overdosed on caffiene (with some of the coffee makers fm's have that would have to be a real possibilty); got to get another fix of Mello or Aloyouis :P or the worst of all.....fell asleep at the wheel; you all should know how dangerous that is.

A week of 24x7 on-call :D

At work now on a local with not much happening......

Next train arrives in around an hour and a half and everthing else is under control.

Time to kill until I finish up at 1am.

Take some fish oil capsules, that'll clear it up.

( Blackmores.....' Glucosamine + Fish Oil 'capsules )...............from Doctor Chook.

Thanks Doc I feel better already, did wonders for my wee problem........however I now have this irrestible urge to swim upsteam and mate with a mermaid :P

It is the fish oil that helps to regulate body functions.

It will improve one's eyesight over time also tinnitus is also reduced as well.

It is very easy to get run down these days and with the high level of food processing that transforms our diet from what was intended to a nutrient free 'filler', it is no wonder that we cannot sleep.

We are all slowly becoming disfunctional through unnatural lifestyles imposed on us by a materialistic world.

Disfunctional?...Im a little sperm whale

...short and stout

here is my handle...

and here is my ......(oh my god) :P:D

Anyone notice a power failure in Melbourne tonight :D !!!!

Had to do chauffeur duties tonight.

When I'm not being the forum-whore I work a 24/7 roster / 12Hrs / 4 on - 4 Off / DDNN pattern, but we are in the process of switching to a 4 on - 5 off pattern  !!!

I think that's part of the problem, half the people in Melbourne can't see Melbourne either. :D

Well I just got home from work, anybody out there?

Oh well..... things got a little more interesting towards the end of the shift when one of our competitors put one of their trains in the dirt a couple of kilometres from the terminal! :D

Fortunately no one was hurt but the line will be closed for a few days.

... 24/7 roster / 12Hrs / 4 on - 4 Off / DDNN pattern ...

My favourite roster of all those I have worked:

15 / 6 (all days)

14 / 7 (all days)

14 / 7 (7 days, 7 nights) - the worst

10 / 4 (all days)

9 / 5 (all days)

5 / 2 (all days)

5 / 2, 4 / 3 (all days) - this is second best of course...

4 / 4 (2 days, 2 nights)

Interestingly, when I started with my current employer 5 years ago, 3 & 1 (21 / 7) was pretty common. Some uni mates reckoned I was lucky to be on 2 & 1. These days, with the boom, most mines in WA are doomed if they offer anything less than 9 & 5 or even time.

Welcome back MM. Where ya been? On hols?

Thanks Lyle. :P

I'd hardly call last-minute-mad-rush-renovations-in-Adelaide-followed-by-moving-and-unpacking-in-another-country a holiday, but yeah, something like that. :P:P

I've actually been reading the forum as a guest since Monday, trying to catch up and resisting the temptation to just jump at random threads. In the end, I realised that it's a futile exercise, and today has been a flood of my useless additions to our little corner of cyberspace.:D:P

And how have you all been?
