Cooksta59 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 As one of those unfortunate people who gets to work night shift regularly I do check out whats happening on the forum during the wee hours. What surprises me is the members who are awake at ungodly hours and posting on the forum. So whats the story folks..... insomniac, working nightshift like me; addicted to the forum, forgot to turn the pc off, overdosed on caffiene (with some of the coffee makers fm's have that would have to be a real possibilty); got to get another fix of Mello or Aloyouis or the worst of all.....fell asleep at the wheel; you all should know how dangerous that is.
Chui2 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Shiftworker here. I for one am grateful for the insomniacs, shiftworkers, AV perverts etc. that are up all hours. There's usually something happening around here.
50mxe20 Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 In the evenings (late) after the missus and the kids are gone to bed, is a good time to get in some reading. Unlike now, when work tends to interrupt viewing, reading and typing!!

In the same boat as you. Also I start work @ 5:30, so I'm an early bird too I occasionally use work time to sit on the forum

Not that I always agree with your point of view....but then isnt that what a forum is all about.

Tweet Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Only jesting Cooksta, and yes that's a fair bit of what it's about! Yeah, don''t worry about ' Gramps with cramps ' Cooksta , without him we would not have any arguments at all. With regards to working, well I retired at 47 and have enjoyed it ever since. Slaving away in a workplace in which a CEO gets a bonus for getting rid of staff for the sake of profits, is hardly a joyful existence but now I am my own chicken. C.M
Cooksta59 Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Only jesting Cooksta, and yes that's a fair bit of what it's about! Jeez....you had me worried there. In future could you sign your posts of with TTP (taking the p*ss), I can be a bit slow on the uptake but I would never admit it to anybody......
