My lads have a cheap 51" TV woth an X360 attached and it looks fine. Not as groovy as your LCD or Plasma displays but it'll do the job.

Yes they will look "better" but just not as much definition. The higher resolutions (720p/1080p) look incredible on a fully Hi Def compliant display. Just be aware on the X360 cable there's a switch to go from SD to HD and visa versa.

So on a normal 51" TV, will it make a difference if I switch to SD or HD? And aren't all xbox360 games in Widescreen?
