Chesty Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Is that for real Chesty.....or are you just playing with peoples fragile little minds now you have received your bag of goodies. Just Jedi mind tricks.
STiScott Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 You might want to edit out your serial number. Not sure what harm someone could do with it, but you never know. Thanks AndrewW. I dont what i was thinking when i posted that . Fixed now though So is Chesty just messing with us . If that was the case of no titles what do people think would happen then.
AndrewW Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 So is Chesty just messing with us . If that was the case of no titles what do people think would happen then. Yes he was. And if he wasn't then I would be pushing for the replacement value of the 10 discs (20 in my case) in cash.
the_wonderchild Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 maybe you guys will get your wish for reimbursement Oh and i'm sure there'll be a lot of support apart from you guys (SDL and Andrew), as i think half the community here would want a piece of them!
TheDarkrevenger Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Not sure if anyone else has tried but you cant even email the redemption team to query whats going on might try calling them tomorrow but im not holding my breath

Trigg Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Just heard they have run out of titles... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
jb0767 Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Yep, their email address now bounces. I guess this will be one for the various 'fair trading' people. But, I'd be happy to accept 10 BluRay discs.... Sorry Toshiba, but you entered a contract. It isn't something that you can just walk away from because you feel like it. This might even be interesting.
Caprica13 Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I feel a class action coming on. Would hate to be working in ACCC over this.
Quark Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 If you've been waiting an unreasonable period of time and can't get any sense from the redemption area, you could of course Google to look for their MD's direct e-mail address and 'phone number, in case it's a matter of public record. That might lead you to a document titled: Toshiba_ISD_ATAC_Submission.pdf So it might be easier just to Google for the document title.
kopthat Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) I hope they do run out, and have to give us $40 per title plus compensation for the pain and suffering of this endless waiting, and watching those that purchased months after us, pour scorn upon us by getting their titles. Even with the best selection of titles, there are only a couple I would even consider keeping, but it's those damned principles !!! You don't mean we should write to mwhittard@toshiba-tap.com then Edited May 12, 2008 by kopthat
bbar Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Still waiting: DATE MODEL NO SERIAL NO STATUS 25/01/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY RECEIVED. Online Claim has been successfully submitted. 05/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY APPROVED. Redemption claim has been validated and approved. 25/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY FULFILMENT IN PROCESS. Money orders/Redemption item(s) being ordered. 45 business days from March 31(end of promotion) is early June plus delay times for posting means mid June. So, it is not late until mid June. That means 30 more sleeps for those waiting like me, though we may get lucky ond get them late May unless Yorac gets our redemptions. Bryan
Guest Treepble1503561546 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Add me also! 18/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY RECEIVED. Online Claim has been successfully submitted. 29/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY APPROVED. Elmo1 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 what seems to be the titles people are getting for EP10 redemptions? I just want to buy a couple more of the local titles since they have dropped and most, if not all, are below $10. Thanks
djbigk1503560164 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 EP10 Redemption titles of late seemed to be: The Holiday, Hulk, Miami Vice, An American Werewolf in London, Syriana.
HTPCFreak Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Strange that my 25/2 approval was already sent out to me. I did fire them an email about a month ago asking if I was going to get my titles soon, don't know if that helped or not since they never replied.
Pfeff Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) Strange that my 25/2 approval was already sent out to me. I did fire them an email about a month ago asking if I was going to get my titles soon, don't know if that helped or not since they never replied. Don't think so... I think a lot of us with the same fulfilment date have also emailed but just got the BS. 01/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY SLC78xxxxx RECEIVED. Online Claim has been successfully submitted. 11/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY SLC78xxxxx APPROVED. Supporting documents received and validated. Claim approved. 25/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY SLC78xxxxx FULFILMENT IN PROCESS. Money orders/Redemption item(s) being ordered. I've been patient, but to be honest this mixed up sending of redemptions making earlier purchasers wait is unconscionable. I was about to buy a laptop for one of our account managers last week and was pretty impressed with a Toshiba model, but could not buy on principle so selected an Asus instead. I doubt that anyone from Toshiba reads this thread, but at least with some of us they have done untold damage to their reputation and I have reached the point where they would have to have a standout unbeatable model before I'd buy Toshiba again of any persuasion. I can't wait for their photocopier rep to show up with his latest and greatest so I can show him the door! That's about $40,000 worth of lost business from me in the past month alone. Up yours Toshiba... Edited May 13, 2008 by Pfeff

the_wonderchild Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 i can see a lot of people with a similar disposition Pfeff. If Toshiba won't look after their customers (particuarly the loyal ones in this case), then they don't deserve our business.
Guest techo_freak Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I'm pretty sure this is the one I'm waiting on... DATE MODEL NO SERIAL NO STATUS 18/02/2008 HD-XE1-K-TY SLC7700432 RECEIVED. The other XE1 was received 29/2/08 and the titles came early April... unfortunately that was my brothers machine.
SDL Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Still waiting, and having had a working relationship with Toshiba did once think as a company they were damn good....sorry but they have lost me through this debacle. They may be good in some fields but AV they are hopeless and don't deserve to be in business in Australia.
