Quickly posting from work to let you guys know: JB have corrected the Disney thing. Those $24.98's will no longer scan into the B2G1F deal. KPL, you really snapped up a bargain.

I Robot hasnt been released in Aust yet.

Im not sure how much youve seen on these forums (so hopefully im not telling you how to suck eggs) but the best way to go is check out Mo's thread here:

http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtopic=50447

Then order all the region free ones from Amazon or Dvd pacific in the US. ( I prefer Dvd pacific) It works out much cheaper.

D-Train

I've actually been looking on Amazon a lot for blu ray's, so that is probably where I've got confused about I, Robot being out over here. Having seen it listed in the US I've just assumed it must be out in Oz. I'll definitely check out Mo's thread first from now on.

I've not used Amazon to order anything yet. Is the shipping, packaging and delivery time pretty good?

When living in the UK I used Play, CD-Wow and Movietyme to import all my DVD's, along with a couple of other sites for HK, Japan or Korean imports. Since moving across to Oz I've used Play Asia to import all of my PS3 games, but their prices for blu rays don't look as competitive as Amazon.

No, I didn't. Heck, there were a few of the $24.98 Disney ones I wanted, I was going to get 3 and put them through! ;)

I guess it was happening all over the place a little bit and they noticed the error and fixed it. Such a shame.

On a non-blu-ray note: starting today there will be a 50% off all Madman anime DVDs. Excludes Ghibli stuff.

Nipped into JB at Kedron this afternoon. Awful selection, very little stock, and certainly none of the ones I wanted to make up my 3-for-2 selection.

Wandered out disappointed.

I feel bad when so many are so disappointed with JB. :/

I must say perhaps my experience is better because I've mainly dealt with the bigger NSW stores: Parramatta, Sydney City, Bondi, Penrith, etc. It does depend on the staff, the quality of the store, you know.

In any case, I'll still post about sales when I can. Hopefully Christmas (when stocktake isn't getting in the way of ordering stock) will be better. I'm hoping for another blu-ray B2G1F or perhaps various company-based sales... time will tell.

No doubt they have taken some of the stock out back as i actually witnessed a sales girl doing this in their rundle mall store. She grabbed all the dvd boxes full of bluray dvds and took them all out the back.

I’m pretty sure this happened in the Strand Arcade store in Sydney CBD too. They usually have boxes FULL of blu-rays underneath the shelving. When I went in last week, there were ZERO…. (just the stock on the shelving, where the popular titles were diminishing….)

And if you check out the JB HiFi website there is no mention of the blu ray B2G1F offer on there, even though other deals and sales are promoted (plus all the prices are higher than in the store).

It's rather annoying that JB-HIFI have limited this offer to non-disney Blu-ray's and non-boxsets of Blu-ray.

I had intended going to EzyDVD, but when I got there turned out it's an online only promotion :(

I got the movies: Night At The Museum, Independence Day and Ice-Age-2

Cost me $75, so $25 per Blu-ray Movie. Not Bad.

went to maqaurie and hornsby JB. terrible selections and prices have been increased to a full $39.99 for the popular blurays. **** you JB.

ill wait till sweeney todd and hitman are both out then take advantage of this offer.. unless jb pulls a shifty and only gets 2 copies in on release and then theyre gone and dont get anymore so people dont get brand new releases.

The deal goes until 30th June

Can anyone confirm this as a fact?

At the moment, I can only find two discs I want but there's something else coming out between now and the end of June that I'd love to make a part of the deal.. :D

Chatswood JB, Sydney had a large range on their blu section yesterday. They're were either $36 (catalog) or $40 (popular/new release).

About the only missing ones were Pirates series.

i popped in yesterday to both Ezy DVD and JB Hi-Fi, and they had numerous copies of Die Hard 4. Was suprised, as it's much unlike what i've seen in just about every other store so far.

The Pirates is Disney so unavailable for 2 for 3 from JB. EzyDVD have them 2 for 3 atm.

Thanks for the info.

I tried to buy from EzyDVD a week ago & they were out of stock.

I am not desperate for the Pirates anyway. I might wait for better Amazon offer.

The Ezydvd offer is strictly online only!

EDIT: appears on the internet that they all say "out of stock"

The Ezydvd ones are tough now, some are available (like the POTC trilogy, all ready to ship, I ordered on monday, they were at my door tuesday morning), but a lot of them are out of stock, which is fair enough, they'll buy enough to fill the preorders, though they do have a lot of movies there, so you should be able to make a decent 3 movie order if you don't have a large amount of movies.

so they say, but if you wonder into some stores of their's, you will find the exact opposite and they are running the promo in-store.
