Are these available in stores anywhere yet?

My HT room is made up of Diamond 9 speakers and I find them to be really great value for money. The Diamond 10's are supposed to be better and if they are priced around the same as the 9's then they should be well worth looking at.

Hello Pasty I rang the wharfedale distributor today and they said Diamond 10 are now shipping I will be heading down to my local dealer to audition them tomorrow morning.

In regard to prices they said to me they are cheaper than the 9 series. 10.1 $449 rrp seems like good prices

I plan on getting some of the Diamond 10 surround speakers. Look impossible to beat for $399 a pair of bipoles.

Wharfedale Diamonds are COOL...$299 a pair - perfect for my Denon system :) I don't know if I'm using a Diamond 9 or 10 but I think I'm using a 9.1 or 9.2...not 100% sure.

I've never heard the 9 or 10.SR units, but the pairs of drivers would have to be a bit better than their siblings with 4" drivers.

I'm not exactly overwhelmed by the 9.0's, of which I have 4 as surround speakers. They do OK for the money though. Their sisters, the 9.SRs - which are just a shallower, wider cabinet that you can hang on picture hooks - scored a "meh" after a test listen. Also, the 9.CC really didn't cut it as a centre. I guess 4" drivers in small cabinets are never going to sound impressive to me.

The 9.CM and 9.6's are great, tho. So, just make sure you have a good test listen.

Perhaps if you're not devoted to the bipole sound, consider a 5" driver unit (EG the 10.1) The cone has almost double the surface area to work with, that and the larger enclosure sure makes a difference.

Also, is it just me or does it seem like a backwards step for the 10.7 to have only 6.5" bass drivers where the 9.6 had 8"? Also, that the 10.5 and 10.6 are so similar that having both in the lineup is a bit of a waste?

But the 10.1 is 28cm deep vs 13cm deep for the 10.DFS and I dont want massive speakers hanging off the walls of my lounge/theatre room. And I'd think the 2 x 4's in the bipole DFS's should do OK. I mean it's only for surround sound :)

Hey Guys I went and auditioned the wharfdale diamond 10 series and have to say they were great sounding speakers for the money. I have settled on 10.7 fronts a 10cm centre and 10.1s as rears.

I think I will get a sub when I have some spare money. I compared them to the diamond 9s and b&w 600 series.

The d 10s were substanially better than both other ranges I found they were much cleaner sounding and had better overall balance. I listened some DVD audios and bluray discs.

So I'm a happy camper of to enjoy my new speakers cheers hi fi guy.:)

Digging up an old thread: how does the Diamond 10.1 (or even 10.2) compare to the competition that's out there now? Mind you the cheapest I saw the Diamond 10.1 is $395 from csvav and for $100 less they're letting go the 9.1's for $295. Is the $100 worth the upgrade?

Hi there I have admit Im a proud diamond 10 owner; the 10.1's are an amazing speaker for the money. I would recommend you definatley go the 10s over the 9s big difference in sound and finish. Plus $395 is a super hot price. I paid around $425 for mine. If you want to know any more about them let me know I got a few friends and family into the diamond 10 club to lol.

Cheers Hi Fi Guy
