Hey guys need some mounting advice for the 3600.

Will any of the selby mounts fit?

I am interested in the following wall mount:

"Extendable LCD / DLP Projector Bracket WALL Mount 15kg White PM103w"

I notice in the description it says that the maximum diagonal distance for mounting holes is 330mm. I measured the Epson and it is 340mm so would appear bracket will not fit. However another one of their products is the:

"Projector Bracket Black for Epson TW3000 TW4000 TW5000 PM200b" which says it is made especially for these Epson projectors due to their wide spacing holes. However in the description for the PM200b it also says maximum spacing of 330mm.

Do you guys know whether the PM103w will fit as I would prefer wall mounting for my particular media room.

PS: Bought mine from Harvey Norman Castle Hill for $1840 and was in stock.

Just to answer my own question I emailed Selby and this is the response I got:

Thanks for the enquiry.

The listing for the PM200b bracket is in fact an old listing and is incorrect. The new model of this unit will comfortably do your projector as the arms extend to 350mm.

Thanks so much for letting us know and I will arrange for the description to be changed immediately.

Also got this back:

No, the PM103 won' fit by itself as the arms are correctly listed as extending 330mm. We do have extension feet for this unit at $14.95 a set that will allow you to mount your projector. These are not listed online unfortunately.

Contact me on Freecall 1800 692225 and I can process your order over the phone if you like. I hope you are wanting black as the extension feet come in black only.

Did the same today, from the same place - they were out of stock... ordered it and will hopefully have it before end of the week :D

I upgraded to one and after 40 hours of use it's gone a lovely shade of pink. Yep, down the left side.

Epson told me to try reseating the lamp(!) or take it back if that fails. Fills you with a great sense of confidence.

A few of us with Epsons 4000 and 5000 have had a problem with the Optical Engines...Luckily for us, we have had these replaced under warranty (one had his Optical Engine replaced TWICE!!)....we all had a RED Band at the bottom of the projected image, and I had a GREEN one too on the top...just for comic relief :D

Hopefully this is not the same problem...but Epsons are now getting to be known for a faulty Optical Engine...unfortunately....!!

Got mine today and unboxed and mounted on the ceiling... after hours of rooting around with the so called universal bracket, which isn't, but only because of the Epson's sheer size...

Anyhow, whilst watching the first movie on it, I start getting an intermittent small pink vertical stripe appearing in the bottom left hand corner - is this the same kind of issue? :o

After all day of getting it just right, I don't want to take it back unless there's a good chance that it's likely to get worse as time goes on.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I ended up just buying a genuine Epson mount for mine. It was a bit dearer, but at least I knew it would fit.

I've only used mine for 13 hours! I will be keeping an eye out for any pink stripes!... ;-)

Anyone know where I could get some tuning specs from? I did come across a website that had a bunch of supposedly good contrast/color settings but can't find it again...

Yeah, I agree. I just made sure mine was on ECO power mode, set it to Cinema, and it looks great as it is.

Hi guys,

I just found out that the genuine Epson mount has been discontinued. So, I had to cancel my order for it.

I ended up purchasing a Herma Hang IT mount instead.

Hi Guys,

What is the best method to focusing this projector? Is it just a matter of it looking good to your eyes?

I find that device menu's don't look that good (blu-ray, wdtv, set top box) but of course the PQ is excellent when playing something.

You should probably use a test pattern.. I have some

having a real hard time getting a perfect rectangle with this projector.

Any tips? I am using lens shift, but maybe I am not pointing it straight, not sure.

This is the most likely scenario - reset the lens shift's to the neutral position, then point it straight and make sure it's level on both planes (use a small spirit level) then use lens shift to move the Picture around to where it needs to be.

Thanks, I will try tonight.

I was trying for a while last night but I just thought of it today at work.

I am unsure how to reset lens shift? I don't know where the lens wheels default position is.

No worries, usually there is a very slight click or notch when the dial reaches the no lens shift position.

MY ISSUES....

Had a white top corner & pulsing light/dark when in ECO.

Repaired under warranty. It is not my receiver, Blu-ray, PS3 etc, nor the ezyhd cable.

Replaced the complete insides, I got the same lamp (500hrs)

................................................

It is now back

Tonight the OTHER top corner is a pink colour now (much worse than the white) and it was pulsing AGAIN...

ANGRY

so DAMN angry....

I'm on my second unit now after the first (purchased in January) developed dust blobs after 3 weeks. 350 hrs into the second unit and I'm now having brightness flashes while in ECO mode. It looks like lamp flicker where the brightness goes up and down. When I put the bulb into normal mode the brightness holds steady. And when I revert back to ECO mode it's good for a couple of days and then it starts to do it again. Is this a bulb problem or unit problem? I'm loathe to rip the unit from the ceiling for a second time and send it off and be without it for an extended period. Harvey Norman swapped over the first unit on the spot. But it's been 2 months or so with the 2nd unit and I don't know if Harvey Norman will extend that kind of service again. I'm super pissed!

I believe I asked this question very early in this thread but I just need some clarification on this. I'm running this projector (TW-3200) on a 100" 16:9 screen with an Oppo BD-83 via HDMI and an Anthem D2v processor. Now my question is are any other owners here using the Overscan setting to get the image to fill their screens? I currently have mine set to 4% in order for a 1:85 image to fill the screen perfectly as I can't get it to fill it otherwise without using Overscan. Is there a way to do this without using this feature and does using Overscan affect the picture quality?
