It is a pity that Deadwood is Region A locked, otherwise I would get it.

But I do have it on DVD. So far I've only watched Season 1.

Deadwood S2 coming to ABC-2 .... Yet another example of the ABC showing what I've already got on DVD. And ABC-2 is worse than DVD picture quality (ABC-2 has a low bit-rate), has a terrible watermark, and only has 2.0 sound.

Yea, me too.

Count me as yet another tragic.

I ordered this on the 3rd and it arrived today(21st), that is some of the best packaging I have seen very pretty, can't wait to start watching

For those who don't have it on disc the second season is retuning to ABC2 9:30pm Monday March 7th

Got mine too!

Bite the bullet, get it modified.

Judy watched all 36 episodes while recuperating from knee surgery.

Fantastic series Lyle, just a bloody shame it never finished. I would love to have seen what Swearigin had install for that wealthy miner (name escapes me)

Chops I think I have you to thank for getting me into Deadwood?

Btw have you seen Sons of Anarchary? Note quite deadwood IMO but pretty close and it continues.

Just got the box set from Amazon US (couldn't wait for a region B distribution. Wow - it's a really nice package! First impression was "WTF - the box is damaged" Then I realised the artwork was cleverly designed to simulate just that. Would have liked more text - say episode descriptions etc but overall I really like it.

As already said this pressing is region locked so you either need a region A player, or software to bypass the region lock if on a PC, or rip the episodes to iso or similar and play with a media player. For what it's worth I'm ripping each episode to ISO using DVDfab and putting them on a WDTV live media player. Works perfect with 1080p and DTS-HD MA streamed.

HBO/Warner owns distribution rights in the USA, Paramount owns it elsewhere. Even if it did get released in B/C it would be void of all bonus content, commentaries, etc. Same as the DVDs.
