Must say - biggest disappointment was the 1.85:1 ratio - this demanded to be a full wide screen film. 3D - passable but really I would prefer to see this in 2D, you lose a lot of the colour and brightness with 3D

Will be seeing this next Friday in GC, so looking forward to it, interesting to see the AR, ffs don't tell Owen..............

That reminds me it was in 1:85.1

Sorry - I hated it then ;)

Fun popcorn entertainement movie I thought the film was at its best when the team were talking/arguing with each other rather than the massive action set pieces. Still prefer Whedon's Serenity.

See it in 2D if possible. Hulk totally steals this movie and I really enjoyed Hiddleston as Loki again.

Saw it today, pretty good flick...but Im gonna have wait for the bluray to watch it properly. Watergardens cinema has the shittiest fkn sound....no dynamics and the audio was just ****...dialog was also very low. I cant beleive I paid 16-18bux for this ****. Ill wait for the bluray.....cinema quality is really giving me shits lately...especially with the price we have to pay.

you know for a Fred Nile type of morals crusader around the forum you certainly do have a potty mouth

GC ? what is that ? the new James Bond supervillainess ?

btw, Owen doesnt usually frequent BR so isnt this a tad norty backstabbing a bloke in other fora where he wont see it ( not that he would respond to idiocy such as this ) ...when you complain of being bullied all the time

good to hear on the flick bud, yeah we're getting very tired with the movie theatres these days. wife last night said while we were at home watching love and other drugs of all things. that was so much better watching at home. can have intermission any time we like and was so much better over all for sound and picture as well. for us more an outing these days. but yeah quite happy just to wait and watch the blu-ray as well :)

Very true Al, if there is only one cinema to go too is Sunshine Village, so far when I went to watch Transformers ages ago...I watched it 5 times at 5 different cinemas and Sunshine had a pretty good picture with very good sound. I should of gone there but the misses said "lets try something different"...so i settled for Watergardens....ewwwww lol.

Love and Other Drugs....you would also like the picture to be good too....to watch Anne Hathaways goodies lmao!

So finally got to see this at Fountain Gate yesterday, have to say audio and picture were extremely good but had a reminder next to me (ankle biter) about how good HT is............

Brilliant movie and will have some massive LFE on BR, previews were Snow White and the Huntsman, Spidey and TDK Rises all looked good.........

about half way through finally cracked it with the ankle biter and had a crack at his parents about whether he was ever going to sit farking still and whether they might actually do some parenting, they then finally moved him.............

Went and saw last night also with 11 ankle biters. Was grandsons birthday and they took 11 kids to see Avengers.

Liked it but was disappointed that there was very little bass. I suspect it may have been the theatre we were in so looking forward to Sept 25th when it is released on Blu-ray

Currently on holidays on the gold coast. Saw this last night at Pacific Fair. Loved it. Only 4 others in the cinema and wife and kids were watching Rock Of Ages in adjacent cinema. Stopped going to the cinema years ago due to poor pic/audio issues and especially because of idiot patrons. No issues here, blown away by how good this looked and the audio was brilliant. Blu-ray will be THE go to demo disk for sure. Anyone here know the cinema complex at Pacific Fair and whether it rates as better than others or not? Very impressed. :)

My family and I loved it too, though (IMHO), I thought that the last 30mins or so was bogged down in too much action and CG which was not consistent with the excellent comedy/action and character development of the first 3/4 of the film :logik:

-Iron Man 2 (00:12:40)

I live on the Gold Coast and know Pacific Fair cinemas well. They recently upgraded cinemas 5, 7 & 3 to digital for 3D. The quality of these cinemas is pretty good. The other cinemas in the complex I believe are still film based. The best cinemas on the Coast are Robina Event Cinemas. They all have outstanding digital quality in both audio and video, but the VMAX cinema there blows every other cinema away with massive screen and awesome floor shaking LFE.
