betty boop Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I would be waiting to see some reviews of the key films that have not been previously released . Especially Goldeneye. That's a heck of a lot of money to fork out for alot of films, many of which the avid collector would already have. It's a hard call to be sure thats my problem have quite a few of the films already, havent really seen any reason to get them again. I think I'll just hold out and grab the ones dont have. I still havent even watched all the ones have already so not a huge rush to buy the same bond movies again

As the new ones are $5.30 each delivered to my front door. I am happy to part with the existing set of 13 for $40 posted free to anywhere in Australia.. That is approx $3 each for the whole set, will not separate Will place a post in the Title trade thread too.. I successfully sold my older 13 copies to a DTV forum member in Adelaide for $40, So I have none on the shelf at the moment, but the cost of the new set minus the $40 for the older discs means I will pay only $82.50 for the changeover. Georgie81 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Hi all, I have a friend who is interested in my James Bond Collection. It contains all 22 films on DVD except for Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace which are Blu-rays. Im just wondering what a reasonable price would be for the lot? Thanks in advance!

I sold mine which was mint for $100 earlier in the year. New price locally is well over $200. A lot of people still very happy and keen on DVD. Don't expect to sell it here which is blu-ray predominately. I also donated around 100 mint DVDs to the salvos a month or so ago. Gifts are also a good idea
James Belsey Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Saw the set in JB today ($179). It's much smaller than I thought it would be, looks good though.
Georgie81 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Cool, thanks for the replies. Hes very keen on the set so im thinking around $70 for the lot. Thanks again.

What I would compare it with will be the Planet of the Apes and the Mel Brooks USA box sets - IMO it looks similar to those ??? I might have a quick look at Vic Galleries JB on the way home..... hidefdave Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Hmmm ... I guess next month will be accurate given its douche post. Indeed...mine also dispatched at the same time via Douche Post *sigh*. I know I will have something in a week when sent via Royal Mail. Douche Post is anyone's guess! D.

I think he means compared to full case size collection as previous DVD collections were. These are acrylic inserts etc for each disc taking up less space.
MichaelCPE Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 You lucky people! Douche Post is luxury! Mine is still "Dispatching soon." I've also got the 1967 Casino Royale in my order so I guess it is harder to pack.

I hadn't really look at the specs for the set, but had assumed that it would be a BD case per film, or similar (like the old DVD sets). It's actually a book, with a page per film, the discs slip in to the page of the book about that particular film: Edited September 24, 2012 by James Belsey
