peterca Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 New Software tonite Software - 116.2.8.2.4.26 Op. - C022P36 EPG - U_1.8.6 Don't see any difference. Does anyone know what is the difference? I have the same software and one thing that is new is that when you press the yellow button to delete a viewed programme it brings up a confirmation window whereas before it would delete the programme on pressing the yellow button.
whoisit1998 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Also improved free foxtel on demand via internet...
johnjet Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) I did a forced update and I now have 8 choices in On Demand. They are - 1. Featured 2. Movies 3. TV Shows 4. Sport 5. News & Documentries 6. By Channel 7. Main Event 8. Adult In the MOVIES section there are now extra options. 1. New Release Sessions 2. New Releases On Demand 3. All Recent Releases 4. Most Popular 5. Weekly Spotlight 6. By Genre 7. By Channel 8. By HD & 3D 9. By Title And the good thing is that now there is either a $ sign saying it's extra or a * sign telling you, you get it free as part of your subscription to that channel. Baby TV and showtime horror are also added to the Channels on Demand section. Edited January 25, 2012 by johnjet

That feature is so over due it is not funny. Anyway, good to see it has finally made it.

peterca Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 i hate the new feature. if i want to keep a show i press blue and the blue K shows up. now i get a warning every time Just checked, my IQ2 doesn't do that, only brings up the confirmation window when you press the yellow button to delete. Pressing the blue button just puts the K there, no window.
asdsa Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Programs set to record are now highlighted in red in the EPG; is there a similar function for reminders as well?
psmedley Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 i hate the new feature. if i want to keep a show i press blue and the blue K shows up. now i get a warning every time I agree - this feature should be configurable..
Harlequin Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Is anyone using a wi-fi adapter plugged into the back of the IQ2? If so, what's a reliable adapter? cheers.

johnjet Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Guys, I don't have the new software for some reason. How do you do a forced update? Thanks. Press and hold select + back buttons until all lights light up. Release and wait until all lights light up a second time and then press the power button, up arrow, down arrow and power button again on the box. It will start the update.

jackbauer Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I agree - this feature should be configurable.. You can configure it in Setup -> TV Guide Settings. You have the option to set Delete Confirmation to All, None or Unviewed.

Mine hasn't so will need forced update.

Thank god! that nearly caused a divorce in our household so we had to press the blue button to prevent deletion cheers laurie
