swordfish805 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Stunned. Saddened. Can't imagine how her family must be feeling - hope some of them might see this thread and see how Duck's warmth touched even people she'd never physically met or even spoken with.
Skid_MacMarx Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I had numerous conversations here with Ducky This is awfully sad news. There were times when things were crap and she would put a smile on my face. My deepest condolences to family and friends. Ducky will be sadly missed.
Aloysius Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Thanks Kazz and even more - thanks Ducky - for your lightness of spirit and your contribution to us all.
shrek Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Very sad news. I haven't been on here for a while but I always enjoyed her PMs and posts. I met her and her hubby about three years ago when I was up on the Gold Coast on holidays with the family. She gave me a present for my yet unborn son, face washes with ducks on them. Typical Ducky. Those face washes will always remind me of her. My wishes go out to her family.
kwarrior Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Oh my dear God.....Ducky...my one sweet friend on here.....RIP my friend...I'm in shock.... RIP my dear!!
FMB Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I am deeply saddened by this news. Some of you may be aware that Ducky lived in the next suburb to me. We often communicated offline. We never actually met face to face. My wife met her on several occasions when she dropped things over. My wife will certainly be sad to hear the news. Ducky used to visit our Christmas light display every year, although she never stopped in. I believe her hubby was the jealous type. She will be sadly missed. R.I.P. Ducky.
Volunteer Kazz Posted November 29, 2012 Author Volunteer Posted November 29, 2012 Ducky would be truly humbled to read all of the lovely sentiments expressed in this thread. She had the biggest heart of anyone I know and that shows in the comments here. I miss her dearly.
neuty Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Well I am truly heartbroken to hear this sad sad news. She is an Angel and always has been. She is kind and wonderful and to those who knew her will miss her so much. All my love and wishes go to her family in this sad time. Carl. RIP McDuck
shmoell Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I obviously didn't know McDuck as well as some of you...hardly at all really, but anytime I had a conversation via PM with her, she was always light-hearted, humourous, good-natured and full of life and I am really saddened to hear this news :-( My sincere condolences to her family in this difficult and dark time.
mello yello Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 RIP McDuck @)---------- and condolences to her family and friends
FMB Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Ducky was a regular visitor to our annual Christmas light display. This year, we have decided to dedicate them to her.
tomgj Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 (edited) B was an absolute pillar when Suzy was in hospital for most of a year a while back, her messages of support, and her enthusiasm and optimism was something I didnt have at that time. I don't know if the thread still exists, I think it was ' cherish those around you...'but her PMs through that time were so supportive and a relief to read after long days at the hospital. She had a heart and compassion bigger that herself and extended that to others at the drop of a hat. She loved her Husband and Children, more than anything. Those close to her, I'm sure, would agree. And , obviously her much documented cats didn't suffer from neglect! Both Suzy and I have shed quite a few tears today. For someone we never actually met... Our hearts go out to B's family and friends. Give Pheonix a rub under the chin for us both, B. Goodbye McDuck. XOX Edited November 30, 2012 by tomgj

Volunteer Kazz Posted December 1, 2012 Author Volunteer Posted December 1, 2012 I've had a few requests to post details of the funeral etc, so I have spoken to Ducky's family who are ok with me posting this http://tributes.cour...724#fbLoggedOut There is also the option to sign the guest book for the obituary in the link.
Sabor Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 This is terrible, terrible news This forum is full of decent folk and she was truly one of the nicest people I have come across. I'll never forget her witty posts and the way she gave those emoticons a real workout Rest in peace, Ducky.
DansDans Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Just found out this morning She was the best member on this forum by a mile - it was always great to recieve a PM from her and I loved reading about her latest gaming haul - she was the kind of mother a gamer would dream about having and this is a real tragedy I am missing her comments already I hope she is in a better place right now, looking at us and wondering why we are making a fuss over the "little ducky" - well dear lady, when you were loved by many, they miss you when you're not around Thoughts go out to her family R.I.P
windeath Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 The Universe has lost a real treasure in Duck. Very sad.
