tuyen Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 It's a fully active loudspeaker setup. (http://www.aurumacoustics.com/integris_300B.html) Aren't 'high end' Australian built active speakers in the same price range?
MultiplexMan Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 It must be one of the few pieces of audio that has appreciated in several years. Currently listed significantly higher than the USD list price when new... http://www.magazine-audio.com/2008/aurum-acoustics-concept/ But I guess "if you don't ask - you don't get"
leck Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 62k AUD now is less than 40-45k US a couple of years ago . Considering the listing is as new its probably vaguely in the right area. Maybe a little closer to 50k instead of 60.
danter Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Now this listing at least gives you a laugh and you get to enjoy his personal bit of payback... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Pioneer-Amplifier-Receiver-Non-working-piece-junk-/250662309028?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Electronics_Audio_Amplifiers&hash=item3a5ca34ca4
MultiplexMan Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 In May 2008 AUD was almost equal to the USD. http://www.x-rates.com/d/AUD/USD/hist2008.html Good luck to the chap. If he bags a buyer I will be in awe. It would akin to reeling in a marlin on a length of dental floss 1
leck Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Geez for some reason I have 56c stuck in my mind for 08. Thanks for pointing that out Multi. Ill be checking into a nice nursing home soon I think

Grainy Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Just stumbled across this one on ebay an found it slightly curious: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Yaqin-MC-100B-KT88-Class-Tube-Amplifier-/330452997583?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Electronics_Audio_Amplifiers&hash=item4cf08895cf You'd think if you had a feedback rating of -1 you'd start again.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE - I can't be certain but I'm pretty sure that this bloke has quite a number of different ebay accounts most of which get shut down eventually. He operates out of Singapore mostly, my son and I both purchased flash cards from him a few months back (made in Japan?????) which were faulty. Paypal refunded our money and the account was closed down by eBay. Not sure how he manages it but he justs opens another account? I've already reported him on a number of occassions to eBay about multiple accounts operating out of Singapore. Most have been closed down.

Put it this way, if I won lotto I'd snap it up. I have seen naim pre-powers go for less recently on eBay. ES
josh0571 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Really - I'm sure I've seen old Naits on UK eBay go for GBP200-300?? Maybe that was a few years ago when there was a glut of nice gear listed...?! Yes (especially since I'd like one for a second amp) and no, given what they go for in the UK through stores. Put it this way, if I won lotto I'd snap it up.I have seen naim pre-powers go for less recently on eBay. ES
New Sensations Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 At the start of this year, nait 2s were selling for up to au$1000 on ebayuk. It's calmed down since then. If you look through the sellers feedback history, you can see he's bought two naits recently: for 950 and 1000. Selling at 1600 is a bloody joke! 700-800 is about the current market price.
