Equaliser Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) The seller could've made a typo by having an extra digit, it's happened to me before with listing items on ebay mobile and in a rush. The last Kef 104/2 was sold for little under $500 less then a month ago. The slight deterioration in the woofer surrounds internally put me off a bit with bidding higher. EDITING this post: Who ever is bidding on these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Eurosound-speakers-Bi-wired-200-Watt-92-Db-efficiency-Rogers-Ls-Equal-Ex-cond-/291122379627 Are getting ripped. White scam van speakers worth no more then $10. Edited April 16, 2014 by DefQon

firefly0071 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Looks like a reasonable package for a bedroom!
Guest 322 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 interesting subbie. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Custom-Made-Active-Sub-1-2-Meter-Diaphragm-/231211736143?pt=AU_Hi_Fi_Speakers&hash=item35d54b1c4f hungry chap.
JukKluk2 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 So lethal that it has to be used outdoors. And, yes, let's all send the seller a packet of breath mints.

skippy124 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 What do you do if you have only one vintage speaker instead of a pair....... Turn the logo on the front by 90 deg, sit it on its side and call it a vintage centre speaker.... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sansui-classic-centre-speaker-the-ultimate-in-high-performance-vintage-quality-/271464284645?pt=AU_Hi_Fi_Speakers&hash=item3f348841e5&_uhb=1 7

Is he serious? A centre channel speaker from the 70s? I've had one transaction with this seller many years ago. Never again. He has some decent stuff but he doesn't describe condition accurately and he overcharges on postage. DaveR

Hergest Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Am i missing something obvious in the listing here or is a squashed dust cover a new way of doing things? The seller's others speakers are the same. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-0-Diameter-5W-4-Ohm-Aluminum-Housing-Round-Magnet-Speaker-Loudspeaker-/301163527511?pt=AU_Hi_Fi_Speakers&hash=item461ebebd57&_uhb=1

IMHO the unit on offer is far from new as the seller lists it. At best a factory or transit damaged second. Crushed dust dome, scratches on the basket and an imperfect edge seal are all the hallmarks of well and truly used IMO. Cheers, Alan Edited May 15, 2014 by Monkeyboi
frednork Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Ha ha, my kids have been on to that trend for some time and keep wanting to follow it,

Cichlabxr Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Now that's a bargain. When were these made 1970 something? I wonder which part is "3 month old?".

Maybe he means he's owned them for 3 months?.... I have an identical pair - wonderful, competent 'all-rounders'. But Sarawak? Edited May 16, 2014 by robin-hobart

Beats Pro professional headphones sound so good because they put back the quality lost in modern-day file compression. That means you’re really hearing music the way it was originally heard by the artist in the studio. They actually change the compression in the file you're listening to! Because Beats Pro headphones have heavily padded, pivoting ear cups, you get the noise cancelling effect without the need for power switches or batteries. It’s the real studio monitor experience in a headphone. the noise cancelling you have when you don't actually know what noise cancelling is! 4

Guest Muon Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 ebay, a Marantz 6300 described as "Rare", "TOTL", "Mid Century Masterpiece" and a "Beast" while an alright table this is a bit much All this for parts/not working for $340..................tell him he's dreaming. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VINTAGE-RARE-MARANTZ-6300-MID-CENTURY-MASTERPIECE-DIRECT-DRIVE-TURNTABLE-/181410428237?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item2a3ce7754d

All they would need to do is pop down to an Op shop and grab an old record to test out.
