Ah Aerials;

Years ago I bought a Godar aerial - ex USA - for my FM tuner - put it up on the chimney.

Basically, it's a simple single pole, telescopic/extendable (tune to wavelength..) whip aerial....in other words, a car aerial.  Probably worth about $9.99 plus a bit extra for the mounting & 10m of coax cable that came with it.

Yet without a doubt, the best $125 I ever spent on my FM components.

This one is more Yikes!!!! than Ummm??? ~ definitely a case of caveat emptor ~ these AC/DC Eddystone's were mainly intended for use on steam ships where 110 DC was the norm ~ they have NO mains transformer ~ could be lethal if either phase and neutral go to the wrong pins or the old insulation breaks down. I let the seller know but zero response (surprise!). I hope whoever buys it knows what they're doing. I wouldn't use it without an isolation transformer.

'Here's your chance to own Rare Pristine Allison One Vintage Speakers. I have the original boxes as well. One of the speakers needs the woofer to be refoamed. refoam kit is 25.00. If you have any questions please ask.'

Hhmmm.     Pristine generally means in its original condition; unspoilt, clean and fresh as if new; spotless.

Although they look in good nick, pristine they ain't........

Also, unless the woofer has been physically damaged, it is rare for just one A1 woofer to need refoaming

Not to be outdone, there is this bit of fiction......

 I just don't have the time to re do the woofers not expensive at all “I had them professionally refinish by a cabinetmaker they look Awsome this is my third pair I own so you know this is how much I like them '

They have had some furniture oil rubbed on.  The seller helps to support this theory by handily providing photos to show the 'professional refinishing' chips and water marks.   The EBay seller rating is scary.........
