The Universe rewards chancers, every once in a while.

"NO WARRANTY , NO REFUNDABLE " - where's that queue?

Fun viewing. Skip to 1:48 for the best part though.......

Frankly there is not enough public shaming going on:

I've just worked out you can't do multiple 'reactions' to a post. Like, thanks and haha all appropriate for this.

That would be overreacting.

117volts. Man that would be hard to get a step-down transformer for!

It's changed to 230volt apparently.

Yes, through the means of a black pen. Very Russian.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Accuphase-D-A-T-110CS-Audiophile-Digital-Tuner-5000-RRP-In-Late90s-/263129383768?hash=item3d43bbc358:g:mmoAAOSwmCVY~v-i

Sought-after brand, but I believe this device is a satellite receiver that was only useful in Japan in the mid 90's.

I sent the seller the following question, but have not had a reply!

"Hi, I believe that this unit is a satellite tuner and will not work in Australia. Can you confirm this please?
It's way too old to be a DAB/DAB+ Digital Tuner and has no Antenna input for AM or FM.
Thanks"

There are 13 bids at present, I hope they are only looking for an attractive doorstop.

He just pulled it from Ebay. I assume he realised you were right!

I did eventually get a reply that seemed to indicate he didn't understand that DAB+ is not compatible with what was being done overseas via satellite in 1995.

So I explained it for him in a little more detail (and kept myself nice).

He's got a good feedback score, so I expect it was an honest error.

Apparently it has a nice 18-bit DAC in it, but no external input to utilise it separately from the satellite tuner.

I  think he meant to say "Gold does not turn ME on.". But if Gold does turn you on that's a bargain.:hiccup

No.... Phone really doesn't turn on !!

Description

"Up for Sale is my iPhone 6 Plus - Gold

This phone currently does not turn on, which is why I am selling it

The phone started turning off randomly and now will not turn on

When plugged into iTunes and tried to be restored it says "the iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred 4013

I'm not sure how to fix it, which is why I am selling as I have brought a new iPhone

This iPhone was brought brand new outright from Dick Smith in December 2014. The screen was replaced in July 2016 as I dropped it. Other than that, I haven't had any problems."

He only dropped it. Can't imagine what the issue is.

I think the word "test, do not bid" might have been helpful in this auction. Still, if you had a million spare it would be an interesting exercise to bid on this. :hiccup
