Lol I saw that too, left the page open so I could see what happens. No bid retractions so optimistic shill bidding?

Shilling at its best.

If it was bought from Classic Hifi in Newtown then the poor sap selling it might have dropped a couple of grand in the first place.

"Up for Sale is my iPhone 6 Plus - Gold

This phone currently does not turn on, which is why I am selling it

Other than that, I haven't had any problems."

LOL One hell of a problem... even if it is the only problem.

Suspiciously cheap eBay ads disappear.

[Excuse if double post]

Occasionally I receive emails from my eBay searches which contain suspiciously low starting bids for quality gear.  See attached screenshot - only the first 2 items are 'real'.

If I click on the cheapies, I get a message to the effect that they can't be found anywhere on the eBay system.

Now... I know it's a scam - but not sure how it works.  My working hypothesis is that someone is putting up cheap tickler ads trying to catch a fish, the search emails are sent out, and then later on the eBay self-checking algos delete them. Yes/no?

Anyone else getting this sort of traffic?

Well spotted Ant. $650!

They're dreaming, but if it's the same seller in our classifieds (and it's a 3 post member) then they may have decided to chase bigger bucks after all the good raps it got here.

The ad's closed but exact same wording in eBay ad so same seller you'd presume.

Not having the original nifty suitcase packing box is a tick against it but...who knows.

You assume a Flipper has the time (okay can't be bothered....) to write a new description or take new photos.....

Ida figgered theyd mark the SNA listing "withdrawn" rather than "sold" if that were the case.

Dunno if a flipper would use this particular ad as it mentions giving away their cd's as well.

If I decided to buy that rig I'd be asking how many cd's will be going with it.

so yeah, I think it's the same person who ran the SNA ad.

You'll probably find the cd's on the music section for $10-15 each....

when stock is out the sellers put those prices on the ad

Jacking the price up is one thing but that is over the top.

If I clicked buy one( says one in stock) I bet they would find one.
