Item: Antipodes DX Gen1 SSD 1Tb (Logitech version)
Location: Sydney, (Canberra+Melbourne over this weekend)
Price: 3700 NEG (New $7999)
Item Condition: Mint
Reason for selling: Potentially upgrading
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info:

Hi everyone. Up for sale is my Antipodes Dx Gen1. It runs Logitech squeezebox controllable via android apps nicely. I found it to be better than the Aurender systems. Used lightly (Only turned on for listening sessions). Was $7999 new. PM me for a better price as I would like this to go today or this weekend.

After upgrading my PSU I found an Antipodes to be really impactful for my system. Opened the music unlike any DAC, Headphone or cable purchase and added a lot more music to pieces that I hadnt heard before such as chamber resonance and echoes were all noticeable. Very open and natural sound and a very worthwhile purchase for any system.

Typing on mobile.

Bargain!  The Logitech system which I controlled through iPeng is quite good but I upgraded my DX to Roon capable for $500 (and got a years warranty) as I'm running 2 DXs with 1 Roon licence and it's easy to switch zones (or switch core if I wanted to).  Difficult to go back to anything else.  GLWTS.

@khira @Runaway - Thanks for the support

Pictures added. Wish I had more time to sell, but somebody gets a bargain because of this.

I'm with you there @Mat-with-one-t . Every time I try to read up on Roon I come across this stuff and I find my eyes glazing over and my mind going blank. Would it hurt them to explain things in plain, simple English?

The Antipodes servers run a Linux version of operating system. The first version was earlier than Roon. Then it was updated to a version 2 that will let you run Roon core and other options. But you still have to separately get a Roon licence.

If you don't want to get a Roon licence, you can still use it really well with Squeezelite or DLNA etc

@Mat-with-one-t Right...let's start from the very beginning....the DX is run on software called Squeezebox...Tra-la-la....the Squeezebox software can be controlled from an application on my iPhone called Ipeng.....tra-la-la.....I can upgrade the DX to accept a different software called Roon....tra-la-la......Roon is so good to use.......tra-la-la....but you need to pay for a licence to use it....tra-la-la......even though I have 2 DX.....tra-la-la.......I only need 1 licence.....tra-la-la....because I change the zone where I want the music to be....tra-la-la....oh, stuff it.
