gibbo9000 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) Item: Classic Gale 301 Speakers (White Ash) and Heybrook HBS99 Stands (Black)Location: MelbournePrice: $370Item Condition: GoodReason for selling: Decluttering - surplus to requirementsPayment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD OnlyExtra Info: Opportunity to acquire a classic in very good condition. Specifications for the speakers (and background, reviews) are as per the attached brochure. These are the metal grill versions in White Ash, and a perfect fit on the Heybrook stands. Have had these since new in 1988 - were my primary speakers for a few years, and have been occasionally used surround speakers since then. Front panels are as new. The side of one of the cabinets has a couple of very minor marks; the bases have some marks from the spikes on the stands, and back panels have some filled screw holes from rear mounting brackets at one stage. The drivers had just have their rubber surrounds replaced. Reluctantly selling as part of rationalising my collection of equipment - apparently you can have too many toys! They come with the brochure, the original packaging, and the original receipt from Studio 99 in London if you would like it. Easiest delivery is pick-up, but happy to work with an enthusiastic purchaser to get them to wherever they will be valued.Pictures: Edited September 22, 2017 by gibbo9000
Gordon Macfarlane Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Great speakers , had a pair back when they first came out and loved them. Had it not been for the fact that I got my first pair of 401A's I would probably have kept them for many years. GLWTS.
Citroen Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I still have mine that I bought in the 80's. Black, with red grills. Can't see me parting with them.
