Rori Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Hi Juddy, Can this do native 4K content? I don't get what it means when it says 4k capable due to e shift technology. The older JVC projectors could only upscale FHD content to 4K with e shift due to the limitation in connections as I understand it, however these new projectors have the required connections so I assume it does 4k natively as well as e shift if that's what you prefer. Is my understanding correct? Cheers, Rori.

Cheers, Rori. its not a native 4k sensor however it e-shifts to deliver a field thats about 3-3.5k. as described below, this is unlike some previous e-shits that indeed just upscaled. this one processes the native uhd signal from uhd and handles both HDR and UHD pretty well. native 4k jvc is $39k but doesnt do as well with contrast the 9500 is about as good as gets right now for UHD unless spending some mega bucks many multiples more !
