Hi mate, its actually not really a cruiser as such, more of an all rounder. In the photo i have the bike set up with Super Moto tyres as i am mostly just riding around tracks with my kids these days. The frame and fork allow for fat wheels and tyres if only off roading, which i sometimes run. I rode downhill 7"+ dual suspension bikes when i was younger and find this bike very comfortable for all kinds of riding 2

The Canyon got a bit of a run in last week - 500km from the West coast to East coast of Malaysia, with a few mountains thrown in for good measure. The conditions of the roads were very varied - some good, some gravel. Also got my first (pinch) flat in 2 years, to be followed with a cut tyre about 70km later.. Now that it's 42 years old, and fitted out with Suntour Superbe Pro almost-everything, it ain't the bike that's holding me back from immediate call-up to the world tour teams. Still, I'll hit 6,000 k on it for the year some time next week. 8

Haven't had the misfortune of a puncture yet - as it's my first bike with tubeless clinchers I'm a bit worried about how that's going to go down.... 3

I can go tubeless on the Canyon, but haven't tried it yet. On tyres - what size are they? I've found that 28's roll fast and provide very good levels of comfort.. Saw these - tan walls will definitely be considered as they look good against a completely blacked out bike. Would love to get them in a 28 though..

I'll keep them on the stock deep dish wheels that came with the bike, and continue to use the conti's on the zipp wheels

I'll keep them on the stock deep dish wheels that came with the bike, and continue to use the conti's on the zipp wheels We are quite different weights which may be a reason but if your pressures and tyres widths are identical, I've never known anyone (myself included) to prefer the Conti's for feel, however they used to have superior puncture protection to the Vittorias (not sure if these new Corsas have caught up), but GP4000s also square off on the rear tyre quite early in their life cycle. I used a few sets of GP4000s back when riding much bigger miles than currently, but found them squirmy in corners so swapped to Vittorias some time ago and these Graphene ones are the best yet for feel. It was riding the coarse Kew Boulevard surface 3 weeks back that confirmed how much better these were. Being honest, I fitted them for aesthetics, not because my old Corsa tyres were worn out, but glad I did

Found they ran well low, also low pressures (i.e. 90psi).

Being honest, I fitted them for aesthetics, not because my old Corsa tyres were worn out, but glad I did well i am 74 kilo, and run the same pressures on both sets of rims and both sets of tyres are 25's Though to be fair, the zipps are a wider rim, so could be stretching out the conti's. Mate of mine who always rode on the original corsas (tubular) also swore by them, and was surprised when i told him i didnt think they were any better. Maybe i'll swap the tires over soonish and see what my feelings on them are once they are on the zipp wheels

I looked @ the propel too, but a 'end of season' sale meant this one was to hard to pass up for $2600.

Have had this for about 5 months and haven’t touched the XC bike since! Also means I get to ride more trails with my young bloke. Damn they are fun, if you’re on the fence DO IT!
