Item:  TAD Reference1 Mk 2
Location: Victoria
Price:  $56k (neg) - call me for an EOFY deal
Item Condition:
Mint\Like New
Reason for selling: We are moving (again) & have to move into a much smaller house, I will be sticking with TAD speakers but there is no room for these monsters.
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: To be clear, these are my dream speakers. I made the trip to Munich for several years in a row and these are on of the only speakers I would want to live with in this price bracket. Ask those who know high end: these are one of the greats.

The price is a little higher than the wood finish as these are extremely rare and the Piano Black lacquer finish is very costly. They look superb.

Would prefer to complete the sale a little later in the year if you are happy to put down a deposit but can deliver now if required.

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only

@yamaha_man for surround sound system!

Imagine, playing quadraphonic DSOTM lp???

Wish I could afford the room and amplification to do so.

Never thought i'd see these for sale, piano black R1's virtually unobtainable!

If i had floors that could support these beasts, and an appropriate sized room these would be mine.

For anyone interested in TAD's, the piano black finish is exquisite. IMO the piano black is so much nicer than the veneer finish/look.

If you want end game, TAD is where you want to be.

I’m also surprised to see these for sale.

In saying that, I’m on my second pair and I assume the OPwill be the same predicament in months/years to come.

Are you replacing these with Yamaha NS5000?

No? The NS5000 are a lovely speaker but the R1s are in another universe. As I said in the initial post I will be replacing big TAD with little TAD.

This is already locked in :),

As soon as I have the space again I will be going straight back to the R1s.

In the meantime someone has the opportunity to attain speaker nirvana.

Hi

Just wondering if you have the (somewhat considerable!) factory packaging, dollies, bags etc for these speakers?

Regards

I think he would have kept the packaging. Dollies and bags are not a part of the Reference 1 delivery/deal. To get them in your house you need to use a bit of this. ????

He's right,

I have everything from the original delivery, even the wrapping. It does require some considerable might to shift however :).
