David Masilamoni Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Item: Auralic Aries Mini + Samsung EVO 500gb SSD + Aries LPSU Location: Adelaide, SA Price: $800 Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: upgrade Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I have for sale an Aries Mini that has been optimised for use as a digital music server with a 500gb SSD and a Linear PSU. It is a very good source for the price, and in my experience would compare favourably with most digital transports under $2000. I decided to transition from physical media to server based playback about 3 years ago, and spent a lot of time demoing digital transports. It took me almost a year to find a unit that was on par with CD players at the same price point.I have not found a better unit with regards to ease of use, the Lightning app works brilliantly and, coupled with Tidal and Spotify connect, enabled me to transition from physical media to server based playback without a hitch. Adding the linear PSU after a year of use lowered the noise floor and improved the bass, timing and separation. The built in DAC is good in a pinch, but using a seperate DAC is the way to go with this unit. The Mini, PSU and SSD work well as a system, I would suggest they be used as such, however would be willing to sell separately if I don’t find anyone interested in the package together. Aries Mini: Bought new in sep 2016 bought new for $549 (Addictedtoaudio had a special on the white units at the time). Price if sold individually: $350 Comes with a Samsung $850 EVO 500gb SSD pre-installed for an additional $100 Aries Linear PSU: bought in sep 2017 $649 new, Price if sold individually: $400 There are numerous reviews and user feedback available via google, so have not included links to any ones in particular. Happy to ship interstate, as I have all the factory packing. Hit me up for a demo Thanks for reading Pictures: 1
