mmmargherita Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) Item: Rega Apollo CD player Location:Hobart Price: 400 Item Condition: Excellent! Reason for selling: Not used. Payment Method: Deliver or Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: A really nice top-loading cd player. I'm selling simply because I don't listen to CDs anymore and it's been sitting in a box for the last couple of years. Very good to excellent condition. The only defect is a sort of exposed bit of glue around where the portal was affixed, but it's barely noticeable and obviously doesnt affect its operation. It's always had that so I suppose it's just a little idiosyncrasy of a hand made product. There's a tiny scratch on the screen that I only noticed today taking photos of it and looking very close up, not noticeable from more than 10cm away. Otherwise, this is in beautiful condition and sounds wonderful. Standard power cable and remote included, however I don't have the original box anymore. Heck, you can probably just have all my CDs too, if you're interested. Can post! (might be a bit extra) Pictures: Edited October 30, 2018 by mmmargherita 1
Marshall Geyer Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Apologies for the miss type.. How old is the Rega..
mmmargherita Posted October 30, 2018 Author Posted October 30, 2018 Well they made them until about 2012 I think... Then they were replaced by the apollo 'r'. But I bought this one new in 2013 from Classic Sounds in Launceston.
mmmargherita Posted October 30, 2018 Author Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) thanks scumbag! Not you, Marshall ha Edited October 30, 2018 by mmmargherita
Marshall Geyer Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Thanks for the reply margherita... Definitely interested...however located in Melbourne.. M
silencer13 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I used to own one of these. It's a very musical-sounding CD player that punches well above its weight. A huge temptation, seeing that I'm also in Hobart. Unfortunately I got rid of all 3,000 of my CDs years ago. GLWS! Shouldn't have too much trouble selling at that price.

Crosscourt121 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I still play cds, am in Hobart, and my current player is a bit old in the tooth. So I'm looking in interest - but ultimately need to wait for it to die. GLWTS.

Luc Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Fantastic top loader in the Star Trek configuration(the toploader dummies...) and only bettered by two models in the same Rega production run. I don't think the 'R' series came anywhere near this model, it's a true design classic and it holds it's price well and spare parts are readily available. If you were to marry it with the same amp...heaven. I had this combo for a few years. An audio classic and 400 clams is as cheap as chips. GLWTS. @rantan will attest to these.
Luckiestmanalive Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I agree with the other comments. I still have my Rega Apollo and my CDs (and all my teeth) and I still love the way it makes music! GLWTS. 1

cityblue Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Hello Margheritia. I would be keen to listen to this player. Are you far from central Hobart? Cheers. Sean
