theok Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Item: Sony HAP-Z1ES Location:SYDNEY Price: $1800 Item Condition:Excellent As New Reason for selling:Low WAF Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought this wonderful piece of gear from a fellow SN member just a few weeks ago. Has totally transformed my digital media playback to another level. But there is no tolerance from the better half for any more Hi Fi components in the lounge and am forced to move it on unfortunately. Unit is in perfect condition. Comes with all accessories and original packaging. Unit plays anything you throw at it (up to DSD128) and has a sound to die for. A beautiful piece of Sony engineering that sounds organic and analogue in character. Unit supports Spotify Connect and Internet Radio (everything gets upsampled to DSD) but can be turned off for those audiophile purists if so desired. Sony still provides regular software updates to enhance playability and features. Unit can also be paired with an external DAC if this is your preference although I have not tested this feature. This was definitely a loss leader product for Sony, selling much lower than the technical ability of the machine could offer. Unit has 1TB internal drive - can be upgraded to 2TB. With the most recent software updates has enabled external drives that can be be connected to the rear USB and also connect external dac via the USB port if so desired. Excellent app both for android and iPad as well, very easy to run and well laid out. Plenty of great reviews around including these - http://www.stereophile.com/content/sony-hap-z1es-high-resolution-file-player-page-2#ypYWQtk5okV80BTD.97 http://audiophilereview.com/cd-dac-digital/the-sony-hap-z1es-two-months-in.html http://www.ultrahighendreview.com/sony-hap-z1es-high-resolution-media-server/ http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/sony-hap-z1es-hdd-audio-player/?page=4 Local pickup welcome or can arrange for courier to any location. JayNTH Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Hi there, is it play DSD or DSF file via USB port?
theok Posted December 16, 2018 Author Posted December 16, 2018 Hi. I personally have not connected to the USB port in the short time I have it as I only use the analog outputs to amplifier. If you open the link below this may have an answer to your question. https://helpguide.sony.net/ha/hapz1es/v1/en/contents/TP0001220509.html 1
