I say just list them on Gumtree as a pair for like $30 - 50 and you'll probably get a sale

They are Japanese made which has that in their favour but they aren't anything high end or worth writing home about.

Silver a.k.a  Shin-Shirasuna Electric Corp went bankrupt in 1982, they produced components from the late 60's till the early 80's.

They built a lot of OEM stuff for other companies, they also manufactured some of the early 70's harman/kardon receivers

'SILVER' was their own branded gear

Ahhh, brings back memories.

My first music system bought in 1980 was a  Silver complete in a rack with TT, tape, tuner and amp.

It cost around $1200 Swiss Francs at the time and I payed for it with the money I earned cleaning in hospitals during school holidays.

I believe it is still at my sisters home back in Switzerland.

Wasn't Silver a house-brand of Douglass HiFi (or similar retailer)?

My thoughts too. I purchased one in the early 80’s.

I worked at Douglas Hi-Fi at that time. I'm not sure that Silver was a "house" brand, but it sure wasn't a great one.
